15 mei studeren Tara Wilts, Nadine Appeldoorn en Iris van Dijk na 4 jaar af van het Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Dit zal gebeuren tijdens een dromerige avond gevuld met splinternieuwe bands vol frisse energie en zal versterkt worden door een decor, gemaakt door studenten van de Rietveld Academie. Verwacht onder andere softpunk, dreampop en folk noir van 3 artiestes die zich een avond lang in het zweet werken. Mazey Haze is the moniker of 21 year old Amsterdam-based artist Nadine Appeldoorn. Mazey Haze beams dreamy guitar-driven indie-pop reminiscent of Beach Fossils, Alvvays, Tame Impala and Men I Trust. Reflective, insightful, sometimes wistful but always unashamedly honest. The songs emerge from deep within, channelling an authentic expression that naturally surfaces, with only the humble hope that the listener might feel less alone and more connected.

Send me Flowers makes music you really like looking at. The contemporary romanticus Iris van Dijk asked her best friends to join her in a new musical project with a lot of space for visual development, a long-lost love of hers. She writes authentic pop folk songs with a teasing dark side, that go hand in hand with playful yet very honest lyrics.

A trip of a clip. Love it.
Melodic meanderings, some pedestrian, but pretty. Long, longing... Hypnotic. Then outburts of the driving spirit.
Halfway, a subtle tribute to Doors and Pink Floyd influence - the whole era. Btw that (new?) drummer... looks like me. (though i played Mitch Mitchellish-er, or Jazzrock)
Toward the end some Ian Dury, Alanis and Grunge undertones... (?) And ooo those fearsome female vocal chords again. Intoxicating! I am a fan now.
Too bad the music business revolves less about music and original talent these days - judging by FM stations, being either boring or pretty old hat.
