I have to commend your choice of bike. Got mine a few weeks ago too. Insane quality and bang for the buck. Eats up the trails at Snow Summit in Big Bear and climbs far better than it looks like it would. What should you add/change? My answer is what I did. Put some tan grips on (and planning on a tan seat) to break up the all black on green a bit. Definitely add a bash guard and some crank boots. Plus I covered all of the underside and about 75% of the top side of all the tubing and forks with 3M protective film. Great quality video BTW.
Invis Protection Kit would do well since its a new bike. And tubeless + tire/rim inserts will keep those wheels looking and performing like brand new for a very long time. Good luck mate!
I also just got this bike roughly 2 weeks ago in a size xl. So far I have taken it on two bike park days and roughly 50 km on my local trails. its a lot of bike for my local trails but am still blown away with how well it peddles and how snappy it feels, all things considered. I cant be more stoked on the bike. That being said I knew immediately I had to swap my grips out with something more cushy, as the stock grips have a hard plastic feel. I also found that the bb felt very low and in some circumstances I will get lots of peddle strikes. This lead me to install a bash guard. In the little time I have had it I have had several impacts where I was glad it was there or it could have been new chainring day for me. I also made the quick conversion to tubeless. Everything else on the bike has been perform wonderfully! I was especially blow away with the new slx brakes. I have been riding shimano ZEE brakes for the first half of the season and honestly cant really feel a difference in power!
@@victororesek7133 I'm 187 cm I'm definitely on the small side of the xl but as it was the only size in stock I went with it. I always pee on my new bikes LOL. Sweet ride. I have a 2018 Meta AM and I keep going back and forth between getting the new Meta AM or the Clash. Living in Southern California there is a lot of climbing in order to get to the fun, so I kind of lean towards the Meta AM. Okay so after a month and a bit of riding it in the Dh sensitive position I have noticed it smashing through the travel, not bottoming out but using a lot. Even after pumping more psi in, but it's done me fine just riding my local trails and some more tech stuff but on jumps it just feels like it soaks it up way too much. So today I finally switched them around and cycled to work and it feels way more playful and poppy. I'm going to have to tweak the rebound and slow speed compression but I can already tell that for the majority of things I ride this is how I should have the chip.
