Hello, is there an opportunity to negotiate with the "boss" about the release of OST Bakugan? Please try to get permission to release ost, it will be legendary!
Hey Neil, does it make sense to bother with speakers these days? I mean, if you work with Spatial Audio, your sounds are object based (e.g. Dolby Atmos), and you have a renderer which could calculate not only for a specific speaker setup, but also for headphones using HRTF (head related transfer function). If you measure your ears and make a custom HRTF profile, the renderer would be able to perfectly calculate sound for your headphones. And in the virtual space you can have a full Spatial Sound, or make yourself any conventional setup like (5.1, 9.2.4, whatever), change room size, etc. Unlimited possibilities, no speakers cables, no room treatment, no noise, available on-the-go, insane resolution and dynamic range with a good pair of headphones. This was not possible computationally until recently.
that's an interesting point... and would be the potential collapse of an entire tech industry! There''s nothing quite like pushing air in a room though - I don't think speakers are going away any time soon.
@@NeilParfittMusic Higher frequencies probably don't affect our senses much, and for lower frequencies you could add a subwoofer. Consumer electronics is definitely going the Spatial Audio way, but very slowly and with generic ear profiles (like in case of AirPods or PlayStation 5). For professionals, I guess, there should be more sophisticated approaches and devices. And today you can easily scan your ears with iPhone's depth camera. I'm not an audio professional, but like your videos and was curious if you know something about this topic in a pro environment. BTW, with HRTF you should get a sense verticality even below your head, while in movie theaters we don't have speakers on the floor.
thx! slowly getting into it. There have been some shows where the non 'baked in' stems (orchestral decca etc) are being put into objects. So for now it's serving as pre-check / learning / listening etc.
