    Thank you Jamie, you're a huge inspiration, I'm 15 and my parents say I can't start testosterone until I'm 18 so I can finish developing naturally, which I understand but like you I'm a pretty impatient person.

      You're welcome, thank you! I know those three years will seem like an age, but 18 is still really young to have things figured out and be on testosterone! It is also good that your parents are open to you starting testosterone. All the best with everything :)

    Thanks a lot. I'm pre T. I just messaged a gender therapist about a week ago. Being in Germany it will be quite tough to get on T, but I'm positively working towards it. It's frustrating though that I don't really have enough money to buy new clothes and stuff, so I just end up in a girly-ish shirt for a day which is really uncomfortable... but I'm getting there... i'm wearing my first pair of boxers today (which i got in my advent calendar), just went into the boy's toilet at school for the first time last week, and am looking forward for some new clothes on Christmas.
    All in all I am just so happy and comfortable finally being able to present as myself and that's simply amazing. :)

    I have a problem. So I'm trans and Pre-T and all that, which is fine, I can wait a little while longer to start. My issue is that I still really like to wear skirts and dresses, to get my nails painted, and wax my eyebrows. My mom says that "real" men don't do that stuff. I think we can. My friends think we can. I really want to be able to pass and to go into the men's restroom, but I still want to keep my style. I've been hurt by men in the past and I'm afraid it'll happen again if I continue to dress the way I like. What do I do?

      If you're afraid to go to the bathroom find a local bathroom with only one stall, like at a restaurant. Be you and explain yourself. If they say you can't be then be patient, if they love you they will learn to accept you. Try to go into family or handicapped single room restrooms only. I hope I helped.

    Hey so I know that you probably won't see this because you have a lot of subscribers and you most likely don't read all of the comments but I just really wanted to thank you for making videos and documenting everyday life being trans. It was your videos (or, rather, your video on Buzzfeed) that made me start exploring gender and helped me realize that I'm trans. I know that this seems like the really cheesy "thank you" youtube comment, but your videos have really impacted me for the better. Keep making videos!!!

    I think it's important to not forget about the rest of the world. T isn't everything, even though it seems like it now. T won't make you happy on it's own, it's just one aspect of your life. You need friends, family, bf/gf, study/work, life goals and dreams etc. If you've neglected all that the T-shot suddenly won't feel as wonderful. Your gender identity is just one part of you.

    Looking at other people on T made me intensely jealous [especially if they were younger than me or had a shorter wait, I had a six year wait and I still can't believe it didn't become seven] but you know what did help me? Voice practices and playing with how deep I could make my voice.
    Juuuust don't record it and play it back -- your own voice always sounds deeper than it actually is and if you have very strong voice dysphoria like I do, it will be jarring, possibly the opposite effect.

    Hi Jamie! I shave my face every so often. Even though it is only fine peach hair I find it is a useful full psychological trick which helps when the dysphoria is really bad (like when I get the curse - tried the pill continuous to get rid of that but female hormones make my brain depressed).

    things i do: let my body hair grow out, shave my peach fuzz (which in return i got a tiny moustache), dress up in masculine clothing, and this sounds a bit silly but i would make a fake moustache and beard with eyeshadow (which looked fairly convincing from a distance)
    im still pre-T and im not even close to coming out or getting a therapist ):

    I was honesty very jealous of a friend who was starting T when I met him. He's documenting his journey on a page. I told him about me being jealous because I saw all the changes thst he was experiencing and reading about the changes he had. He told me that I shouldn't be jealous.

    I have to wait a year to get in the system so I can wait for another six years to be old enough so i can wait for another three years for getting T. So basically i'm going to wait ten years for T.

    Planning on starting T some time after someday getting my first binder. I'm 20 years old and my family does not support me at all. Got to the point it would just be a huge argument and I decided I won't bring it up with my mom. I got yhe answer I was after for (family illnesses etc for the risks).

    thanks so much. I went to my GP about 5 months ago and i am still waiting for a letter for my initial assessment. I do bind, pack and do most of the other things you suggest (except work out as i'm lazy AF). just with it would go quicker :-(

    I'm trans I am ftm but I haven't came out. I am scared of being rejected. The only thing I don't like is changing my birth name it has a nice meaning to it. My name (Abbigail) is not unisex. I'm 12 but I know I am trans I hate my hair being long I hate my breasts I hate wearing girly things I have always wanted to be a boy but i really need advice

    • @audreydoyle5268
      @audreydoyle5268 6 лет назад

      Jace Jordan have you thought of the name Gabriel, I think it’s as beautiful as Abbigail. And not liking your hair being long, or girly clothes doesn’t mean you’re a trans guy necessarily. But not liking your breasts does and always wanting to be a boy too. Guys can have long hair and I’m a trans guy that loves dresses, make up and girly accessories. But I understand not everyone is the same. I also understand the fear of being rejected. If you haven’t come out yet, then just wait until you’re in a stable, safe environment, like living out of home and having a decent income, that means you must be an adult. I get that waiting till then is painfully difficult, but I believe you can get through it. We both can 😁

    this is a really useful video for me, even tho its a few years old lol. my mom says i should wait til I'm 18 to start HRT and surgeries, I'm 15 and turning 16 this year in September. I'm considering trying to tell her i want to begin quicker than 18 but I don't know how it'll go. i also can't get a binder yet, but i have a few cami tank tops so i can try that method for now.

      and just an fyi she has/has wanted to deadname me on purpose sometimes simply because i didnt come when she called
      and she almost never uses MY name on me, only calls me "boo"/"booboo" 98% of the time... so no i wouldn't rate her to be the most supportive

      ImAF0rk Games
      (I'm 13 tomorrow and haven't told my family yet) What I would do is hint until your confident to tell them e.g. when you go shopping together say 'hey mum this looks nice' and point at the clothing (pink, flannels, cargo pants (don't know your gender)) or with your hair persuade your parents to give you a cut like some off the boys in class or grow to shoulder length. Best luck 😊

    • @audreydoyle5268
      @audreydoyle5268 6 лет назад

      Corey Kuefler - ter Weeme pssst, word of the wise, not everyone understands (or accepts) all the gender identity mumbo jumbo. Just say you’re a trans tomboy. Much easier to understand. And if you wanna look more masculine, just wear more typically masculine clothing and cologne, get your hair cut masculine (if you haven’t already) and remember to not use hand gestures when talking as often or sit like a lady (legs crossed or knees together). And yes, I do know the gender identity mumbo jumbo. I once thought I was a demi guy too. (I’m not saying you’re confused tho, I accept your identity as yours)
