How was yalls experience at Basic Training?
I graduated Nov 30. The hardest part about the shower drills is trying not to get your uniforms stolen and changing fast enough
I feel that!
Wait....ppl steal uniforms?!!!
Steal uniforms? 😮
@@devindaniels2334people steal anything that isn’t nailed down in the military
And what are these bathrooms like? Are they common collective bathrooms or do they have a water jet? And are you the ones who shower or the instructors who hose you down?
Been watching a lot of these videos lately, im 23 and have been losing weight by workouts and dieting 2 meals a day. I used to be 300 pounds im almost down to 250's. Gotta keep going i know but im trying to go to the army when i get to the weight i need to be just having a tough time mentally because i have a dog that ive had since a puppy thats helped me get through a lot of life things but i also know i need to do this because it's something ive wanted to do since middle school.
Hello. I just turned 43. I am in the process of enlisting in the national guard. I have a great recruiter. So far I've done the picat and asvab. Did my meps. Tomorrow I'm taking my acft at the recruiters office.
I know my chances are slim, but I am trying my best to get this age waiver. Been training very hard to pass all the tests.
I heard they are doing age waivers up 47
I am trying to enlist at age 46

Kudos!!! I'm going in at 38 😀. There's no better time than the present! I wish you the best!
Imma going in the military i still doing my asvab so this is really helpful for me plus my brother is in it so i can get info from u and him
Great video as always Ben! 😁
Thank you!
Just use shampoo or 3-in-1 for it all, rise, and jump out. You will be yelled at, but remember they're just doing their jobs. Take nothing personal and take it one moment at a time. 10 weeks will be over before you know it.
Great advice!
I literally woke up this morning thinking about this subject. Thanks for this video.Going talk to a recruiter this next Monday. I’m a combo welder by trade for the past 6years. I could go in as E-3 they said with my Trade School college credits hopefully, come in as 91-E Applied Trades. I just need benefits and a new purpose in my life, plus I love my country.
i go to basic this summer and this was something i was tryna figure out how the showers were !!thankfully it isnt open based i wouldnt mind it but i just never been in one before so it would be tough to get used to and if it is when i get there i wont be surprised
Thanks for watching!
I’m leaving hopefully in April!
Went to Ft sill 2021. Shower drills sucked they filed us in 15 at a time. We had to count off while going in, if you messed up we would go back out, get smoked, try again. 3 minutes total to shave, brush teeth and shower. After exiting if anything was wrong ( shower bag and towel in the wrong hands, shirt not tucked, shower shoes on wrong feet, etc) we'd get smoked. Longest we had that go was for 4 hours.
Man I remember those days lol
I'll be at ft sill in a few days. Guess I better learn quick
I went in 2 years ago and we had curtains in fort Jackson red phase sucked short showers at before TTL. Somedays we didnt even get to shower🤷🏼♂️ but overall not to bad also we only showered at night no showers in the morning after PT only before bed.
Thanks for the input!
What I remember of Air Force Basic Training, in Lackland AFB in 2005, is that you had a large community shower room. Of course when you went in there, you had something like 12.2 seconds to take a shower.
What we figured out to do was do it 'car wash style'. The showers were U-shaped, so we had a conga line of guys going in, walking through all the shower heads whilst soaping, washing and rinsing. When you got to the end of the shower heads, you were done.
Typically lasted about 2-3 minutes.
"HURRY UP! HURRY UP!"
I remember one guy slipped on the soap and busted his ass. Nobody laughed, everyone was just trying to clean the fuck up.
I guess i was in basic 41 years ago nobody stole anything from anybody. We all seemed to get along well and our platoon won the platoon of the cycle award.Back then we had open shower bays my entire time in the military but thank god we didn't have the old style open bay toilets that is sick. Barracks in today's Army are like hotel rooms to me but i'm sure guys/girls still bitch how primitive they are for them. In basic we were always under pressure for time since we only had 8 weeks of training which is crazy.
Ohh wow! Thanks for sharing your experience!
Fort Jackson in 1987!! Get your ass in that shower and get out basically 🤣
Ft Jackson new Hollywood 1986
Never had any shower drills during basic- fort sill fall 2021
Maybe because of covid rules at the time
Ben you be looking high af in your videos😂
Haha and that’s because I don’t even like/smoke weed 😂
Good day sir, just want to ask if i pass the Basic training and AIT can i file fiance visa for my partner in other country? currently i’m not a citizen yet and waiting for my Physical exam. Thanks always watching your vids helps me a lot.
Is bonus paid twice that's upon joining and completing the training?
Going to basic training Tuesday and I'm really nervous 😅😅😅
Best of luck!
I’m waiting to get sworn in
Is it true that u gotta wait on a line naked with other people until it’s your turn to shower
Discord gang! (but late this time 😅)
Ayyye love to see it!
Question, if I had flat feet does army doesn’t allow people with that condition ? If so does I need to get a waiver for that ? Thanks for all your vids
Waiver for everything man, this sounds like it can be easily approved.
@@gpsoldier9462 No you don't get waivers for everything.
If you have seen a doctor for it, you MAY need a waiver if it’s deemed an issue. If you’ve never seen a doctor for it, don’t say anything about it and never admit to it in any interview or paperwork
so after you take the asvab and pass when will we usually go to basic training at 17
You generally will be going to basic at a point that you can turn 18 in basic before you get to ait.
It's only 7 basic training sites in the us
Really???? Lol
