Um well I am a new youtube channel and I haven't really perfected my craft, however, I think part of the issue is that I chose to make a series around a character who doesn't (and really has never had) a lot of hype or attention. Calling it a savior context is ... interesting.. For yunli's case since she is able to hear the voices of swords it would be more similar to you watching a dog being treated badly and stepping in to help cause you are able to understand them(using your example). It's more of a fighting for someone that can't fend for themselves, and it makes sense for yunli due to her ability. As a child character it wouldn't be surprising if other characters in hsr would dismiss her for being young, and such she knows how it would be like not having her voice heard. A mix of childlike pure compassion for someone you can understand and a mix of knowing how it feels to be ignored. Regarding her fathers swords, honor(which is prevalent in eastern cultures) could be a reason and also her being in close proximity to the incident itself. She seen herself the harm that it could bring to people, she being a victim of one. And whenever she is mentioned her fathers name is probably brought up and the curse swords will naturally be mentioned. It feels more of a "I'm fixing what my father created so others wont have to suffer like i do" + while some part of her might feel personally responsible to fix her fathers mistakes due to the honor and the implications with it. Lovely video, I'm not really a yunli enjoyer. But pretty well scripted. Unfortunate to hear about the pc stuff. Well hope to see more stuff from you in the future.

Honestly, I had another voice-over I did of this video where I feel like I explained why I think Yunli has a savior complex DRASTICALLY better than I did in this one, but in this recording I did better with the Autism section, which was more important to me. I think there is a lot to Yunli as a character and I wish that we had more content to go off of for analysis, since most of it is her being Tsundere Girl Who Loves Swords. But again, thank you for the feedback, and I hope my future content will satisfy you ❤️❤️
