Let the haters hate! I would much rather see the process of trial and error instead of editing "Disney" version of a project. What are you running a business is full of missteps and triumphs. What was inspiring is your determination to produce the best possible product without compromise. I really appreciate you explaining what goes into creating items on the CNC. Most makers brush over that and it minimizes the amount of expertise required to produce quality products. I stumbled upon your channel and watch your shop renovation two hour video. It was funny, I saw your face and I couldn't place where I had seen you until I saw your dad. I was an avid watcher of Salvage Dawgs and so happy to see you producing such a great content! Congratulations!
I guess I missed these episodes.. Glad I saw it finally! I think gold grade 8 bolts would have looked badass on the Satin black. But with all the bare aluminum I understand why you wouldn't do that.
P.S. Use that damn Bridgeport behind you to machine a couple of blocks (for square bender) out of Aluminum. Square is easy Peasy with an end mill, in-line 2 blocks at the same time. . Use ALL the tools in your shop to complete the task. My 2 pennies. Love your Shop.👍
I watched this video from start to finish and even tho it was 2:15.07 hrs long, I enjoyed it all the way thru. One suggestion for Tom as they seamed to be concerned about headroom for someone that was overly large. Load the basket backwards! keep up the good work.

plasma cnc a new die/follower made from several different layers of 3/8 plate the same dimensions/hole layout as the jd2 does ... for square tube, no or not much grinding required .. simply use strategic plug or channel welds to build up the layers.... obviously that probably would not have met your time constraint
The statement about welding aluminum to steel, not necessarily true. On modern US Navy ships super structures, they use the material called explosion, welding material to attach the upper super structure to the hull of the ship.
now just imagine making those hoops and having to roll a crown into the tops... meaning you have to be able to figure out how much less your corner bend angles need to be so they end up exactly where you want them after you roll your crown in... because you have to bend the corners first. i'm sure you know how to do it... others reading this know how... but it can make things... "interesting" lets say when precision is required and using 1.5 or greater od tube because its not going to be that flexible to persuade into place. anyway just a random thought.
also its a lot harder to get the tube coping right than dude on TFS makes it look... hes just that good. trust me yours look better than mine most of the time.
Your in an actual machine shop and instead of taking a few minutes & piece of scrap and making a Die or an insert for the die you have for the 1” square your half ass’in your job . And holes in front top corners are a mistake as well because you’ve created another catch point
The shelf is a bad idea, not enough on for patient and the shelf in the same area. Ya, you might squeeze the patient in there, but if they are conscious, that’s gonna be a real bad tide for them. If there is an issue, the passenger can’t work on the patient because there is a metal shelf over them and they can’t reach them. Old guy obviously isn’t one of the people doing the medical work, he is only thinking about how much you can put in there, not the other…also, that’s several hundred pounds of steel your adding instead of aluminum.

Couldn't you straighten out the 10degree bends on the second hoop and the bend it in the correct spot instead of starting over ?

Stainless steel and aluminum don’t get along very well. You’re gonna have corrosion in the aluminum around the bolts just something to look into.

The shelf isn't on Lift -Arc it's on Tom, the customer.
