Hi you no what works really well is a medium sized paint tray partially buried so he can get in but then you fill the paint side with water and then he has a place Next to the water to bask in proper life back lol😄😃🙂
That is a very nice cage set up. I never knew how hot they needed to bask or bake? LOL

Hi lorie, I have a female Herman's tortoise called hazel. I live in the uk, and I bought her from a pet shop when I bought her she had a lot of piramiding on her shel. Since I have had her I give her a high calcium and low protein diet. I wa t know if the piramiding from her past is causing her any pain or discomfort?
I own the same tortoise house and I just want you to know that it’s better if they have 2 types of bedding wood chips and the dirt
Have you read about the closed chambers for baby and juvenile torts? Just curious since he’s already pyramiding in case you want to stop it from getting worse.

Hello. I have a hermann's hatchling. I just got him/her a week ago. I am curious what type of grasses? I have the mazuri pellets, spring mix, collard greens, dandelions, and white clover from the yard i have been alternating to feed him. Any suggestions? Also this video was very helpful.!

Really helpful, but do you know how often the soil ect.. should be changed?
Depends on how messy and big your tortoise is. Blue only poops when I soak him so it doesn’t get too dirty but I would say I spot clean daily

I would love to buy a speckled turtle for myself, but dont want to bring them into my home and then find I haven't the financial capabilities to support him/her. I just love 'em too darn much.
Hi! I have a question that I’m not sure if you can answer, if I were to put 2 of these turtle houses together can a adult male Russian tortoise live in there? ( as well as roaming room around my room) I’m preparing for a tortoise in a couple weeks (:
They get up to 8 inches at most I believe.
I think they are 6 to 8 inches so that may work.

You can get them from pet smart and pet co. Just don’t get turtles from there. Get them from breeders.

where can i get a cage like this? I live in the uk and my tortoise is a horsefield and is 2. I currently have a enclosure with glass sliding doors at the front and i’m worried about there not being enough shade for him away from the basking light. I have a cat so it needs so i can’t just get a tortoise table but i really like the two rooms!

This setup isn’t big enough for a tortoise long term; and isn’t suitable for a box turtle either :)

They should be 3 inches or so until you move them. I would build it your self or get it built by some one

Nah firstly it's too small (unless it's temporary) and secondly glass enclosures aren't for tortoises, since they have a hard time understanding what it is and they will probably try to escape all the time

GsOrestes a box turtle is the same size as a Hermann tortoise and even a little bit smaller
@@alimery07 Still it needs an enclosure that is at least 4 feet in length (in my opinion)
GsOrestes anyway I upgraded to a 7 feet enclosure so he’s pretty healthy and I agree but for a baby it’s good for like the first year of its life then upgrade
