- I will be discussing the latest news surrounding the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors announced they are waiving DJ Carton and later yesterday announced they have sign AJ Lawson to a two-way contract to fill out the roster spot. The Toronto Raptors are also have the third highest odds of landing Cj McCollum who is on the trade block.
What are your thoughts on the Aj Lawson? You can now find my videos on Spotify as well.

want no parts in mccullum. Makes zero sense for this team
lol the play in hunters would love this trade
Easy low risk-high reward situation In getting AJ Lawson he's also from Toronto so he will have a huge support base, as far as CJ McCollum goes I think the Spurs should inquire about him, wemby being able to work with an older backcourt that's experienced would be perfect for his development

I was hoping we get another PF/C. We could use a bigger player.
@@blaqhawk2k918 I was hoping for a small forward or pf, Raptors already have too many sg.
@thewaraichreport I agree. Nothing against Lawson. We are more needy at the bigger positions.
Who cares about the odds? They always put Raps as favorites when any player is on the market, but it never happens. The rumor makes zero sense, first of all the Raps are rebuilding, so they aren't trading for a vet. They also already have too many guards who when healthy will struggle for developmental minutes. IQ, RJ, Gradey, Mitchell, Walter, Shead, ochai, etc ... They need to get rid of a few guards not acquire more. Also they will draft high, and the best prospects in this draft are guards. 100% the Raps have zero interest in McCollum.
@jameswelch1054 I used to think that way too but, a lot of other players weren't favored to land in Toronto, I do agree though we don't need anymore shooting guards.
Aj lawson is great addition to the Raps .
Dallas fans said Lawson is a good defender so I don’t know.
@mikeyjames it's hard to say, it's always tough to find highlights for defence but maybe the Mavs fan is right. I've heard otherwise but if he's a good defender that's a positive.
Who was the first raptor ever drafted. It's a trick question.
@keithalvarez2696 that's a good question, I know its not the right answer but my guess is Muggsy Bogues
poor man Ja Morant comparison Aj lawson
cj mccollum is free agent after 2025-2026 season next season. he makes 30 million next year and you want him coming off the bench. cj mccollum defence is ass as well. its not like you gonna be able to flip him either for more than a 2nd round pick next season as an expiring, and he wont resign in toronto as well. so what you really getting for eating probably 45 million of his salary other than bad filler and two 2nds best case at 2026 trade deadline?
you know cj is a high useage guy to get his 20ppg. you drop his usage and he gets 12-14ppg making 30 million, no one is gonna trade for him.
and he likely wont resign in toronto unless the raptors overpay him. his market is probably 20 million when he ufa, and raptors probably still have to pay him close to 30 to get him to resign in toronto.
@giovanni-ed7zq your right, I was trying to make sense of these odd makers and nothing makes sense as to why the Raptors would want CJ I was trying to apply the possible reasons why I thought Raptors could want CJ, he'd still be a 15ppg guy of the bench at the very least imo
@@thewaraichreport That trade would make absolutely no sense. It ain't happening.
@@thewaraichreport any inclusion of raptors in a pelicans trade is because they need a starting 7 ft center in jakob poeltl.

these 2 ✔ ✅ all the boxes in the draft class. The top 3 guys are overrated.
