Hahah my green terrors name is George sick tanks
the fish room looks beautiful and the black arowana looks amazing
Thank you!!!
I very cool set up but just keep in mind even your 220 is not that big for some of the fish you have your going to need at least a 350 or larger You have multiple Arijuana ,pikes bass they're all gonna outgrow those tanks you're going to find yourself squeezing a lot in that 220 lol
I’m just wondering if you do that crushed coral trick in your 40 gallon too cause I’ve tried everything and I can’t get the ph to rise no matter what I do
Of course! All of my tanks have it!
Nice fishroom what are your plans when the aro's get bigger? I have the same size tank and would love an aro but I know they just get way too big
My bigger Arowana should be fine even for another 2-3 years. They’re extremely slow growers, especially at the larger sizes. I have some cool plans for the future 😏 Not a popular opinion, but as long as the tank isn’t overstocked, full grown Arowana could live in a 220 long term. Just need to ensure the stocking is right, the decor is minimal, and water changes done regularly. Again, not a popular opinion but it’s my opinion 🤷🏻♂️
@@LongIslandFishGuy yea true I have mini marble hybrid, a pure BD rays, 2 xingu bass, red Atabapo pike, green terror and a red sevrum and growing out an albino Oscar in the 220gal. Would like to add probably tigrinus. The green terror isn't big looks full grown 8 inches sevrum is growing still, my pike has to be 13 inches n bass around 10
@@LongIslandFishGuy also I live on long Island as well and ur fishroom is in the basement looks like the walls are concrete blocks or did you insulate the room? Or do you run heaters in all the tanks? Winter has to be cold down there no
@@chrishofmann3028 As long as you those cichlids don’t give the Arowana an issue you’ll be fine. My buddy Joe used to have problems with his old Arowana and a few cichlids fighting.
Ayyyyy a fellow Long Islander! The walls aren’t insulated at all! The basement is half finished and has paint 1960s wood paneling on one side and then the other side (the fish room) has some wood panel, some sheet rock, but mostly painted concrete. The room stays very warm because our boiler is in the fish room. The room stays at a humid 71-73 degrees. We have heat in the basement and it almost never turns on because of the humidity, tanks, and boiler.
@@LongIslandFishGuy so do you have heaters in the tanks? I actually built a fishroom of 32 tanks in my garage which I thought was insulated but wasn't. Between the humidifier n an oil space heater my electric was like $500 a month and was breeding rare African cichlids but had to break it down bc electric was too much. I now have solar panels n might insulate the garage to setup a few tanks in there not sure if I'll have time though
Where did you get your true parrots from? I can't find any anyyyyywheeere!
I got them from Aqua Hut around 2 years ago. Haven’t seen them since!
what happen to the albino arowana
It unfortunately died from a swim bladder issue. I did a lot to try and save it but it progressed too quickly.
How do you feed your pleco?
They eat any food that hits the bottom of the tank. Normal pellets or algae wafers
Wait this isn’t a halo clip video
