How is this not the most amazing sword video on RUclips. Seriously i have practiced for a long time and can't reach this ability. Underrated talent. Should be in movies

This video inspired me years ago to buy a couple of bokkens and start training with them. I never got to where you are or were, but I did learn some stuff. I was too shy to do it outside for everybody to see, so I subsequently massacred the room I lived in at the time as kid. I had to change the lightbulbs around once per week. The ceiling lamp i just unscrewed completely after breaking it a few times in different spots. So happy I found this video again. Fun times.

Thank you all for your kind comments on this video in the past. I have a copy of them to keep, but sadly they were all removed when this video was first taken down. The video has now been allowed back (woo!), however your comments did not return with it (boo!), but thank you all again for your words.

Then I will repost what I remember!
Everytime I hear this song come on the radio I say out loud, "Do it up Tom Roach!". It's amazing how you can feel so connected to someone you have never even met in person!
As I said what is now so long ago, I say yet still today! EVERY TIME I hear this song on the radio I STILL say out loud, "Do it up Tom Roach!", as visions of your swordsmanship play out in my head! I truly hope you are well my friend! So many years have passed. I must admit, I don't take up my sticks near as much as I used to. Being grown up....is different. But I still haven't fully given up on it. Just the other day I took up my old short sticks...heh, now almost 20 years old, & swung them around a bit in my new apartment (carefully so as not to void my security deposit within the second week). It felt good, like spending some time with old friends. I hope life hasn't gotten in the way of your one time passion. If it has, it has though. Regardless, I hope this message finds you well & in good health! Be well my friend!

@@AgileFan0 AgileFan! Thank you so much bro! Somehow i have only just seen this comment. Waaahh! I swear YT just doesn't notify me anymore! Thanks for your words mate, it means a lot to read this so many years after posting my first video. It meant a lot to me to make these back in the day and to train in this stuff every night, and i know it meant a lot to other people doing it out there too. That's why it was so special.
Don't worry man, i'm still training. Even more so these days, i just decided not to post my progress on youtube anymore and have been competing in martial arts instead. Maybe it is time for a revival though :)
Hope you are well mate! All the best, Tom
