Transfer foil never worked for me but I did it following your advice and I got it right on the first try

Hi you can also use a zig glue pen as an alternative to glue polish. After your foil is on i go right on top with a no Wipe top coat and it does not dull the foil look.

Great no nonsense tutorial on beautiful nails and a gorgeous colour too 👌🏼 What brand is the gel polish? I have just bought a set of 2 foils (3 meters in total) for only 49 pence 😲 Think I shall be buying more because seeing how easy and fabulous they look I will be using these a lot! BUT,I don’t have any glue,can I apply them if I cure my nails for just a few seconds(on my LED LAMP) so they remain sticky and,then finish off with a No-Wipe top coat?

if i didnt remove the inhibition from the nails and sticked the foil down would it work? is there another alternative for the foil glue?
I’ve only ever used the foil glue. I know you can buy a certain gel that is used for foils but I’ve never used it.

I've never heard of a bonding layer before! what is it that you're using?
im at the point where I get the foil on (not neatly mind you, even tho we have the same glue) but whatever top coat I try that just shrivels it up making it all crack and ruin it..
I heard that base coat over the foil dry then top coat - this will prevent the separation of foil from the nail ... also make sure gel or glue is very thin layer.

angelina fall if you can....order the transfer gel. Any of the glues don’t work like the gel. I will be doing another review of a transfer foil gel so can let you know which one is the best

how do you know which way is up with the foil?
Normally end up with the top coats making my foils finishing look of cloudy or just completely smeared or just completely ruined.! How is it that your able to keep them without doing so? I've been trying all kinda hacks' clear coats, glue this in this video glue foil
@@dionesilva4260 a normal top coat will ruin foils, you need a water based top coat (can buy from nail supply stores) for normal polish or a gel polish bonder as she uses here before using yr normal top coat

It’s usually the duller side...hope that helps.

By bonding layer do you mean what makes your nails sticky before doing like acrilic nails?

Hi, I’m so glad I found your channel, your videos are fantastic! I stumbled across this one and I’m super excited. I bought a bunch of these holographic foils on eBay late one night (lol) and only tried to apply one of them, one time, with no success. I just threw them in my drawer and forgot about them until now. I’m excited to try them again. When you say “bonder layer” do you mean any gel base coat? If not, could you please elaborate, I don’t know what it means. I really want it to work out the next time I try it, yours looks so beautiful! Thanks!!
Thank you for watching! I’m talking about a primer like young nails protein bond. It leaves a little bit of a sticky layer so the gel bonds well with the foil. Good luck with your foils and I hope they work for you 😊
How long should I cure in a LED/CCFL lamp? My lamp takes 20 secs for colour and top and base. 30 seconds for really dark colours. I can't work out how long I should be cutting transfer gel in such a powerful lamp
What does it mean when I apply my foil glue it goes on white but it doesn’t dry clear. What can I do???
Are you sure it’s foil glue. It should always dry clear
How would the UV light help dry the glue? Wouldn't a regular fan be more effective?

gitana pozo puedes usar el top coat de tu preferencia el que te guste. siempre usas productos que te gusten. Puedes encontrar varios videos de differentes top coats frio o con lamparas ya que son muchos. y ella lo que uso fue una pega que trae los aluminios pero puedes usar cualquier esmalte y caundo este seco pero aun un poco pegajoso se queda puede tomar practica pero sale bien.
Kalilah Evol no es un coat es un pegamento se llama star es especial para pegar el foil

Might be a stupid question but how do you know which side of the foil to use
The side that's not shiny or has the design on it
One side won’t transfer the other will, you can tell by looking at it the side you use is not shiny

ive been marathon watching your videos again this whole weekend Ardelle LOL!!! id love to see how you use nail stickers I have so many cute ones id like to use on my gel nails! also do you find resin works better than glue for adhering crystals I have no luck with glue they just end up popping off even if I use glue around them and gel top coat after but I prefer using glue cause theres no extra bulk of gel there they just look like they are floating on your nail
+RiRi Ray thanks for watching all the time, much appreciated!! I will make sure and video using nail stickers! I prefer resin. It leaves no bulk, I apply it after doing my top coat, and buffing away the shine. Once the crystals are on, and in place I go around them with another thin top coat and then cure. This way they don't look imbedded but floating on top :)

+RiRi Ray I do topcoat before crystal and then buff( I finish the nail first then add crystals, the reason I buff after the top coat is because the resin adheres better on a ruff service versus a smooth one.)
Ardelle's Nails oh sorry duhhh I meant to say why do you top coat before and not just after and then you don't have to buff the nail to remove that shiny surface. Anyways the way you do it works beautifully good results
+RiRi Ray you would still have a shinny surface on any gel product that u use, so would have to be buffed first. If you notice from all my videos my top coat is thicker, that's how I finish the shape and thickness of my nails. If I was just doing a thin topcoat then I wouldn't apply it first. That's just the way I do Nails. Make sense?

It just doesn’t work as good, rub the back of the foil with isopropyl alcohol that should help

Hi Ardelle...How long would this foiled nail last? What product was it you applied directly after transferring the foil.Can you give examples of products one can use. I heard you said bonder but not sure what you mean(sorry I sound daft) Sarah's nail secrets uses a thin layer of hard gel and that keeps it on for 3 weeks.tfs!
I put a primer or bonder on first like young Nails protein bond.... if a thin layer of hard gel is just applied and no bonder the hard gel will chip away from the foil.
Ardelle's Nails ok so I heard right. The bonder goes on top of the transferred foil and then the gel. I have ph bond by Gelish. This would be ok I guess?

No it’s different.

I used Young Nails Synergy base gel for the bonder layer over the foil.
