Basin Buddy works great on replacing the kitchen sink supply line!!! The hard frustration was putting on the teflon tape laying on my side, with one hand.
Spent an hour trying to remove a stuck faucet nut from an old sink. I just bought one of these and it did the trick.

That's what I'm saying! And again why? I'm sure you know, I certainly do! I would like to have jobs line up that are more easy! Curious about this basin buddy and if it covers all nuts! I have two larger sized brass one's in a tough location. I guess I'll see what new gimmicks the stores are going along with and maybe after everything cleans up and the stores are open again I can take a look for myself
@@cadenceandfamily2159 stores you can visit usually sell trash, and cool innovations even if not too good at their job are usually only online bought. you'll just have to take the bullet, order this, if you hate it return it within the try-out period for a mostly full refund. Prepare a test stand for all your use cases. Ezpz

I feel your pain. I was trying to install a laundry faucet I bought at Lowe's. On the box it said a 12 minute installation, I could only wish.
@@mikecrane471 Tell you, man, some nuts just exist to see the world burn. Wrench slips, they round, they get so tight that things that aren't supposed to move, move; and the thing still leaks.

just finished changing out a kitchen sink faucet, the universal faucet nut saved me a bunch of time, the basin wrench could not do it, plus faucet nuts are in a tight space, upside down. the universal faucet nut fit the nuts and screwed them out part way the rest of the way I did by hand.

Seems legit I have a basin wrench and the orange rigid tool but this is ideal for tight spaces. My last faucet install took me forever. I had to notch the wood backing behind the sink to get the new lock nuts on.
This didn't work on my Delta kitchen faucet. Most kitchen faucet is not as simple as this faucet in the video, mine have 2 other smaller tubes going to the faucet.
Under my faucet, there is a wide flat hex nut and none of the tools I have seen in stores fit it. I need something like a large crowfoot wrench.
Will it fit a 13/16" nut?

What is this made of? Just bought the Husky version and it was cast out of some kind of pot metal and the socket attachment broke off instantly.
Will this remove flat 1 inch nuts? In the video at 0:46 they mention "half inch female iron pipe coupling nut." Is that a nut that is actually 1 inch. Or is that nut only half an inch?
I know this is really late but, they a referring to a lock nut that would fit 1/2" pipe threads. so yes, the outside of the nut probably is about 1"

Worked for me, I had a 26 year old faucet with a nut and above it rusted washers. Messed around for 2 hrs and then went to go buy this. nuts were undone in less than 5 minutes.
Bought this for American Standard faucet installation; since it's universal it should work, right? Not even close, way too small for faucet nut. Why is it so hard to make something that works? I'll be going the needle nose vise grip route, I guess.
What about the big black P-trap nuts that don't have any wings, just little nubs all around

I have had this tool for some time and for the things it fits, it perfect.
However, if you have larger nuts,say 1-1/8" or slightly more, this is a no go
Many new faucets and soap containers have larger brass nuts and longer necks to accommodate thicker style counter tops.
So, like any tool this is just for some things
This is exactly what I was commenting on above. The large basin wrenches do work but not well and I would like something like this for the large nuts, particularly 1 1/2 inch
Jimmy Tate- You'll notice that my reply was 9 months ago and I still haven't found a tool with the larger opening for the nuts and retainers that I seem to run into. I will reply again if I ever find one
You can get a rigid tool online from home depot that will work for the larger nuts. I just ordered a

This tool will handle the larger nuts. I had one a few years ago but lost it to someone who needed it more.

Yes, except that won’t work on really old faucets. The plastic “wings” just bend or break off.

@@ellabbs yeah it is it's got me out of many situations that normal tap kits struggle with. If you do a lot of tap changes then I'd recommend it, but you will still need other tap kits in certain situations but very rarely though
please fabricate a wrench that will remove the holding nut on a kitchen faucet set with a pull-out. Basin wrenches sometimes dont work or are hard to get in the larger size.

Locking needle nose- save the cash.
Those plastic nuts just hold the faucet in place ,they don't need to be that tight
yeah that's what i thought too. but my sink keeps leaking, so i guess i need to get a silicone to seal the top.
If you have a leak ,it has nothing to do with your sink and how tight it is to your counter top ,it's the hose going to the faucet ,use some Teflon tape on the pipe treads if it calls for that ,you would only use silicone between the faucet and counter top to prevent water from dripping through the faucet holes into the cabinet .
mine was leaking - 2 worn o rings arghhhh. and the plastic nut may not need to be tight but it was.
but it has to be tight enough to never work loose and become all floppy ... so it has to be reasonably tight.

@Just a shadow in this world. we do have some nuts which are plastic for taps but they are the cheap ones mainly and some plastic thread for toilet valves but again they are the cheaper ones, I never fit anything with plastic thread too much headache and for two or three pounds extra they can get a brass thread.
The cost of this versus a regular basin wrench is biggest downer. Come on guys 70 bucks on amazon, make it cheaper. I don't mind spending for quality but still.

Is not really worth carrying this ... if you have a basin wrench, loosen the nut and loosen it the rest of the way with your hand. 2 minutes !
unless you only have 1-1/2" between rear sink wall and kitchen island wall. :( Need a socket style to get up in there.
I need this right now. I am so flustered right now. I had to stop. Stupid base wrench or whatever is way to small. All the cords everywhere, stupid messes. I want to rip the stupid sink out and it's not even my sink it's my sister's. Not my chair not my problem I guess. I'll never own another sink once all mine go bad. Stupid sinks

Next time i use thr bathroom,it wont be basin buddy il be think of,it will be "i shouldnt ate all that indian food....aghhhaàaa,if basin buddy can help with stinger ringer il take 1,or just stop drinking,its only on saturdays at a match,i go for a pint,and if i didnt eat indian food,even though i love it,if i just had few pints id b grand,but spicy foods i love but,there a treat,goin in and even bigger relief treat coming out,i have to way up the pros and cons,nah fish nchips or mickey Ds nah,they dont compare to an indian,the whole meal is lovely,but dont know if its my stomach cand digest it or soething,gfew beers and an indian yeah,i do say all week never again,but it drags me in,i taught i could handle it,every indian is my last,then im back again,yes im an indian meal addict,i might check online,see if there is THER A GROUP LIKE AA BUT FOR SPICEY FOOD,.....IL START 1,S.F.A,SPICEY FOODS ANONYMOUS😆😆👍👍👍
