      This movie is funny because it's true. Everyone has to meet their race quota so that they don't look racist which ironically is racism. It's very common to be racist against white men in 2024.

    • @keithherrera1038
      @keithherrera1038 7 месяцев назад

      MLK Jr wanted us to not see color so that we all treated each other based on the content of their character. Our society has been indoctrinated into a socialist racist mindset. Their is the oppressed and the oppressor and if you fit into the oppressor group then automatically you are the bad guy and you are treated differently. If you are in the oppressed group then it doesn't matter how privileged of a life you've lived you are the good guy. The oppressed get special preferential treatment.

      Racism, misogyny, queerphobia, ableism. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the minority nation attacked. Only Loqueesha, master of all four elements, could stop them. But when the world needed her most, she vanished. A hundred years have passed and my brother and I discovered the new Loqueesha, a racebender named Joe. And although his racebending skills are great, he still has a lot to learn before he can be the new Loqueesha. But I believe Joe can save the world.

      @@AdamOwenBrowning Just watched the movie. The dialogue is forced and the opposite of subtle, the relationships between characters aren't very believable and the movie takes too long to get going, could've cut a good 20+ minutes out of the run time and had the same movie, if not better. All conversations with the wife/son were extremely cringey and forced.
      That being said, there were a few minor parts where I chuckled, like the long hair guy being a superfan of Loqueesha and acting like a teenage girl seeing one direction or something, the main dude asking his wife if her sex change was successful (reminded me of Billy Madison, "oh Eric is pregnant!") the lady who came in to act as Loqueesha thinking it was a porno got a few laughs, her failing miserably when she tried to take his job and just abusing people was worth a chuckle.
      Overall, quite a mediocre movie, not much comedy or drama and nothing really of note. It made some good political points about racism and sexism, like how it's wrong to only hire for diversity (and that is discriminatory, in and of itself).
      I can't say it's the worst movie I've ever seen. I can't even say it's the worst attempt at comedy I've ever seen (see: Masters of Disguise or Meet the Spartans), but it's definitely a forgettable movie that wasn't really worth the time watching. There aren't even any parts that are worth a meme because they're so bad (see: The Room or any of Neil Breen's movies).
      2.5/10 wouldn't recommend.

Idk if it’s just my school but we had a gifted program for reading and math. I really haven’t heard of people being moved to a special school for it.
    Btw, gifted doesn’t actually mean you’re better off. Hell, I’d say you’re probably better off normal. My brother (gifted) dropped out of 8th grade. My uncle(gifted/genius iq) failed out of college and still hasn’t gotten a degree and doesn’t work. I (gifted) am too much of a mess to hold down a part time job at an animal shelter I absolutely LOVED. My dad? Not “gifted”, has a degree in engineering and makes over 100k, lives in a house, with a wife and two kids plus a variety of animals. And a shit ton of tools. He’s a very smart man, just not what iq and standardized tests consider gifted while all of us depression riddled losers are.

      I remember the “talented and gifted” program at my schools only consisted of a day camp type thing once a month where the only activity for the 3 times I went was dissecting squids. About as often as that, though, the school would hold events for parents to go to where they can brag about how they’re “doing so much for us”. By the time we went through elementary and middle school basically everyone in the “talented and gifted” program figured there were better ways to spend their time and it just became one of those “hey, remember this?” kinda memories.

      @@princess4509that makes a lot of sense. I was a “gifted” kid when it came to languages, visual arts and memorizing copious amounts of Information on topics that interested me but around 8th grade, my insufficient math skills began to bite me in the ass and I got so overwhelmed, it started to go downhill from there. I failed 9th grade twice, so I went to a different school and got a “lower” degree (german school system), then went back to the old school, dropped out, went to another school, then dropped out again. I now work in retail, and both my financial and my living situation are shit. I aspire to be a tattoo artist one day but I’m just completely stalling and overall not a very functional person in my day to day life.
      I think a lot of this could have been prevented if both my teachers and my parents hadn’t explained my bad performance away by calling me lazy. The saddest thing is that I was by far not the only one in my classes who struggled with the added pressure, a bunch of my classmates developed depression, anxiety and drug addictions as well. The whole time I was watching this my brain was constantly trying to think of a way for this movie to not be the worst possible, most cringy film ever. Here’s what I came up with:
    White guy gets the radio show, and after enjoying his success he starts to see that a positive role model for the black community is something that a lot of people really appreciated. He starts to realize that being insincere about his radio show is the wrong thing to do, so he goes to the people running the station to confess that he’s not Loqueesha.
    Turns out, the station doesn’t actually care because its making them money as well. They see it as just a way to reach an audience to give them business, and decide that a fabricated personality they have control over would be much more effective at reaching a community than legitimately hiring someone from that community.
    For the last part of the movie, Mr main character guy along with members of the black community uses the radio show to expose the station. Could be a commentary on how companies often try to appeal to groups without being invested in who those groups are outside of just another section of consumer.

    Believe it or not, the tests are supposed to be so difficult that a kid can't get a very good grade. Scholarships do get taken up and some schools have a very difficult time with exceptionally smart children because when they get bored they are creative and find really great ways to get attention or get in trouble. They can just make life difficult for the teacher and the boredom can make school unbearable for the child.

Like fake Loquessha going rouge would've made the movie infinitely better, but this is Joe's show, and he's the perfect angel baby and everything goes his way, so they legit forced this woman to be a tyrant. Like, honestly, It would've gone from 0 to a .5 if things started getting more realistic and showing Joe for the manipulative ah he is. Also, the fact that Joe's kid is like "oh it's school" when the guy's been a pretty deadbeat dad, and he decides to pull him out and stop providing for him is just so icky.
