Can you use another shower (3rd party) head that maybe more water conservative? That flow is too much.

I’m not sure but there is a button on the nozzle to turn it on and off quickly. I used a different set up for washing hands etc but still think you can use this set up well and conserve water if you use it wisely

How long can that size propane last?

I don't think this is available in Canada yet (Jun 26/24). I can't find it on any Canadian sites. I have a CampLux instant heater mounted in a Pelican style case with a pump plumbed inline. This would take up less space overall. Like you said, it's not a requirement but if this is something that makes the Mrs want to come camping, then it's something to consider!
