@@lattepanda6547 This is exactly what I'm looking forward to see! In a Review of ExplainingComputers, Mr. Barnatt tested the throughput of the M.2 Key M connection with a NVMe SSD: It showed, that not the whole bandwidth of the PCIe 4x connection is achieved, but I think it is still going to work out great for an eGPU.
@@speckles_cheetah4307 I agree, I'm waiting for a SBC with 2x M.2 Key M slots.. so I can do M.2 NVMe and eGPU on the same board. I'd love to engineer my own laptop. Wishful thinking for now but still. The LattePanda is the closest and coolest one yet and I don't mind the price but again I'd like 2 port and prefer ARM CPU's. Best!
This video is literally a year old but I'm curious how your cooling solution performs compared to the stock latte panda alpha heat-sink, if I put mine under load it thermal throttles after a few minutes and I really wanna upgrade the cooling but cannot find anything that would work for this particular board!
How can it be more portable with high end graphics card? Will it be possible to run computer vision with high end gpu without compromising portability?
Definitely, I must buy this, if..... 1) 16GB ram but not 8GB 2) upgradeable wifi bluetooth card 3) the 2nd M.2 slot is also PCIe 4x as the 1st one. (So one for PCIe SSD, another for eGPU) Really wanna buy this low power consumption but capable tiny beast with lightweight & compact size on-the-go pocket computer. But.....Tooooooo bad, just find it only 8GB ram but not 16GB. The CPU & graphics are fast enough for those lightweight CG, CAD and video editing applications but the little ram just kill its capability !
Can I use AMD graphics cards with Lattepanda Alpha? And, I know - dumb question but still, can you connect an eGPU to the original Lattepanda 4GB/64GB?
Yes you can use AMD with the right drivers. No the old Lattepanda enhanced can not have an E-GPU, the best it has is a lone USB 3 port which is far too slow for a GPU.
Still has a Pre-Order in the name in DF Robots site. But Check out is also shown in the site. It will be great if someone from Lattepanda gives a reply.
Can you please compare a Lattepanda Alpha with Lattepanda 4G/64GB variant? with comparison in Performance - Speed - Ability to withstand CPU Load etc.. Awaiting for it! Thanks in advance. Peace!
I got the 4g/64gb and a alpha 864.. performance difference is huge. Alpha is as fast as modern laptops, add a egpu and its comparable to a gaming desktop
I can’t find the m.2 to Mini pci adapter anywhere
I think you'll have to buy another EXP GDC adapter, the m.2 version to be precise
*And the award for the most budget PC goes to LattePanda* 👏
Can you try it with a 1050 ti

hello, Where can we get the CPU cooler? link.
It's possible to do with normal lattepanda ? With external adapter ? Thanks
How could connect a lattepanda 864 with a pci 1711 DAQ?
what power supply are u using with the docking station?

please use that setup for AI and OpenCV, i want to know how fast will this be for this type of projects.

One problem: The fan makes the panda a lot bigger in height.
when the first alpha will be deliver ?
Vincent Glc I pre-ordered it and support said it will deliver in August.
Monty Kemp thanks ! I read 2 months delay...

The big problem it's if you put external gpu you can t use ssd... :(
(because same slot)
disappointing they didn't go with an Intel m5 vs using a m3 with same power consumption
