I compare the LattePanda to a 12-year-old mid-range PC gaming system. I have to use a bit of a workaround to get a great gaming experience on a tiny PC.

Build the ultimate lattepanda with m2 and external gpu like so he can see
@Marko Idžan Not very trustworthy as they usually set their minds into destruction and they can't relate to "low end" stuff
Forgot the RGB.
Check out ETAPrime’s video about that. He made a really good one about m.2 pci x16 extender and gpu
Put a 2080ti in the little Po
This is a great idea, but as a bunch of comments said, a bunch of channels have done that before. I may also try it though.
lattepanda need to make one with a pci-e slot crammed on somewhere, even if they would have to make it a bit longer. the sff nerds would cream themselves.
You can use a pcie riser from the m.2 port and mount a normal graphics card.
ETA Prime has a couple of videos on that if your interested.
ruclips.net/video/LMsrVbjOJU8/видео.html
youre damn right i would
This.
Oh for sure. If they add a native PCIe 16x slot it would be really awesome.
Arthritis Godzilla sounds like some sort of tribute Post-grunge metal band. xD
I dibs the name for my band. 😅
"But Po here has a physical Ethernet port..."
I see where this is going.........
Uh oh
Haha!! I am that obvious? 😂
Sorry I don't get it lol
@@TechnicallyTaz Put your mind in a gutter and you will understand.
@@exlibrisas c'mon tell us
The Po's CPU, despite its lack of cores and threads, is about as fast as the Jaguar CPU inside the current PS4/XB1 consoles.
Yeah that CPU is a beast.
Analog Foundry but optimization
@@DawidDoesTechStuff The Jaguar is really slow... Like an eight core FX4100..downclocked to 1,8ghz..
I was waiting for the "LTTStore.com"
Haha!!
you can add a discrete graphics card to po through thoese m.2 nvme to pcie adapters
Yeah there have been a bunch of videos on that topic. 😁
Yea, but 4 lanes for a graphics card is a joke...bottleneck city.
@@jordanwhitecar1982 Thunderbolt 3 only has 4 lanes though, and that CPU already rhymes with bottleneck.
You missed an opportunity to have a latte on the desk during this video.
Damn, but that explains my coffee craving yesterday. 😂
@@DawidDoesTechStuff are you in lockdown? Can you get a latté right now? Or have you got an espresso machine in your apartment? (I got several bags of espresso beans before the lockdown
Your content is top notch and never boring. I knew your channel was going to blow up! Keep up the great work Sir!
Thank you very much. Very kind of you. 😃
Crazy to think about how technology is advancing,we used to have computers that take up entire rooms, now we have computers that legit fit in your pocket. Great vid btw dawid 😊👌i love the idea
build an AIO pc with this sbc! something ive always wanted to see with a sbc. maybe even use an adapter to throw a budget gpu in there.
Ohhh that's an iteresting idea. I will look into it.
I'm running a HP G2 280 SFF PC. Already upgraded the ram to 16GB. Looking at swapping out the HDD to a 1TB SSD, but looking for advice on a LP gfx card that will work with a 180W PSU, as this unit doesn't have a standard size/shape PSU. Not expecting miracles in regards to the gfx output, but anything that beats the on-board Intel HD 530.
I’m really glad the Latte Panda found a way to shine 🥰 it’s so cute!
Wait you got LTT merch hmmm

I have had it for ages. 😁

Love the videos man , keep them coming
I love the creativity with the theme; and the names are just too good - laughing on the couch - what an awesome way to start a Sunday morning😂 Thanks mate.
My LGA775 System (not main rig or even close) is 4 Core, 3GHz Xeon modded into the Socket (Alternatively my slower Core 2 Extreme QX6700) and an EVGA nForce 780i SLI, Zalman Cooler, 8GB DDR2 800, and a GTX 285.
You should do Po vs the raspberry pi 4
Ramiro Carbone yes but it costs less, 60$ for the 4gb model and it over locks easily to 2GHz
Kinda reminds me of Xbox 360 vs Switch comparisons. Tech has changed and come a long way in 12 years, and that can give a huge edge to budget systems vs older tech.
"Arthritis panda"
Linus did a video on the latte panda and he used one of the m.2 slots on the back to convert it into a full sized gpu slot which worked pretty well
What about the Latte with the Ryzen APU?
Oooh I like the prematch trash talk between these two fighters! Po vs Grandpa Godzilla!
Po is ment to be used in an office environment where GPU power is not needed for example if I just needed a PC to do bookkeeping this would be for me where single-core power is where it's at. I would love to see more office-related applications on these little pocket style PCs as I call them personally.
"arthritis Panda" I am dying.
G'day Dawid,
I'm really enjoying the content, especially the names you come up with for the Items you are testing, I really enjoy your sense of humour 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣,
Hope you, Anna & Neko are well & coping with Isolation, Your content is a big help for me 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I got @2:16 and the differences in architecture are waaaay more significant than the fact they both operate around the same frequency...
aka hardware featured was outta most peoples price point at the time
The Core 2 Duo family of processors were overclocking beasts. Back then, I built a PC with the E4300, the brother of E6300, overclocking it from 1.8 to 3.0 Ghz. I would like to know how much you overclocked the dinosaur (Godzilla) PC to.
He didn't.... alot of tech youtubers do not usually mess with overclocking older stuff. Which is lame like part of the fun of older tech is not being afraid to blow it up lol. I feel way to many tech youtubers nowadays only get really into the latest and greatest but honestly you dont need that stuff for gaming or even productivity most of the time. We need to use old hardware as long as possible as we already have a E-waste problem that is hurting our planet and killing people in third world countries and alot of stuff thrown away still could be used. You would be shocked what a old quad core or even fast dual core can do if you really needed it to. It may be slower it might take tinkering but if you really need to do something productive it can still do alot. Most normal people only use pc for office suite and web browsing and there is literally no reason to blow 600 bucks on pc hardware for that experience. Also not all gamers play the same lame ass AAA shooters that all function near the same or battle royals for that matter that will get reviewed or benchmarked 10000 times over and over again. There is all kinds of gamers out there who enjoy so many different types of games and alot of them can get by just fine on older hardware... so tired of people thinking they need 2080 and 9900k for playing indie and older titles. Sigh maybe I should just shut the hell up and start my damn channel. Sigh rant over...
Hiding it behind a TV for a netflix box while you recover from the current malware situation would be cool.
It could probably run WOW Classic too.
"Theres a little input lag"
*moves mouse*
*camera rotates after a whole second"
Do some compile tests on it, like compiling chrome or phoronix's tests compiling the Linux kernel please.
I would like to see you add a graphics card via the M.2 as it has 4 pcie lanes so you could get an adapter for a x16 gpu.
I love the cooler on the cpu for arthritizilla. what is it?
future po vids? use eGPU via the m.2 port
The mini pc would run games well if it had dual channel ram. And the old pc would be very nice if you put in a q6600 which gives it a 2x performance boost over tje e6300
my PC has the q8300 but its not my main one.
@dawid would you ever consider doing one to one calls telling people how they can improve their pc and what’s keeping them from having better performance then uploading it to RUclips for others to follow?
thanks for such nice videos ! keep bro :)
With SBC's occupying as much space as a 3.5inch hdd, why cant we have one thats just covered in sata ports to build a more space efficient nas drive
Imagine a Lattepanda with a micro and underclocked version of Zen Renoir CPU with intergrated Vega graphics (like a micro R5 3400G.) It would obliterate anything in it’s class and even some older full desktop systems and laptops 😉
I'm kinda interested in Oldzilla's cooling tower that looks like the afterburner on an F14.
I guess you already did. ruclips.net/video/jVB9PCSiUUM/видео.html
Get that tiny fan out of there and OC that thing with some liquid nitrous.
Good video, but I'm disappointed you didn't consider using the 9600 GT as an eGPU for the Latte Panda
get that PCI-E to M.2 Riser, put a graphics card equivalent to the Arthritozilla's on it, and then compare those numbers, i'm interested to see the difference there.
Get that adapter to convert the m.2 slot to a pcie slot and stick a GPU in there
you can try putting the most powerful gpu you have in it. #BottleNeckTeam
Linus did that while playing ping pong
I'd love to see little po with a midrange graphics card vs arthritis godzilla!
bb zilla then!
I think you're forgetting that Po is The Dragon Warrior.
Ah yes, another update ftom Floatplane's 6th channel.
😂
Also, my fiends and I got into gaming because PC's were somewhat competitive. Paid about 450 for my phenom and 400 series card
Everyone tries to compare 3D games between older systems and the Pandas - how do they hold up in games that put a higher load on RAM (speed)/CPU rather than GPU? For instance, 2D/sprite games such as Dead Cells or Terraria?
Or you could put a PCi-E riser in place of the M.2 slot running off of PCI-E x4, then get something like a GTX 1050 and you'll have yourself a decent little gaming setup. But bear in mind that the CPU will be the limiting factor in that case, since it has a low clockspeed, and taking into consideration the cost of the lattepanda.... Eh.
You should hook this thing up to a GTX 1650 LP with a M.2 to PCIe adapter.
Put a quad core in the old rig and oc it and it will shred the lattepanda to bits
That's great ! I didn't expect that !
Thsts cool..I've got the 1st gen 4gig 64 latte panda...the new ones like what you have..can get a m.2 to pciex16 adapter or cable to hook a graphics card up to it ! I wanna try my latte panda on some geforce now !
I subscribed to you whenever you started playing with that Wish GPU.. only to see now that I'm no longer a subscriber? I did NOT unsubscribe from you.
Should i buy a gtx 1050 or a rx 560(in my country they have same price
Buy the 1050!
just check the performance difference: gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-560-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050/3155vs3650
the 1050 is better, and remember nvidia is more reliable than amd graphics cards, alot of them have driver issues
Mr_ Captainspoke that’s the gtx 560 not the rx 560
You can try find something used (like a 1050ti or maybe even rx 570) for the same money, assuming you have a good enough PSU for those
@@theferociousmuncher1771 doggo said rx 560, not gtx 560, still the gtx 1050 is a little more powerful than the rx 560
Hey man, can you please help me with my PC problem?
So my pc was working normally and I pushed it with my leg by accident and it fell down, after that the pc shut down and when I tried to boot it up again, no image. I tried pulling out and back in my ram and graphics card, nothing, my mouse didnt want to light up when connecting it to the pc.
I just dont know what to do help if you can
For 450$ is just a robbery compared to an ASROCK DeskMini A300 build and how does it perform with a proper Android Emulator? That's a good option for Gaming and barely no one does it.
Imagine Little Po with a regular PCIe port and then attach a 3 fan monster GPU. 😂
It would be really interesting if you compared it to a amd ryzen embedded system with v/r1000 cpu :)
please do a video with Budget Builds Official!
anyone noticed when shown the mid range PC first time it had a i7 2600K in it lol
Could you build a cyborg cat using the LattePanda?
You can use that to make your MAME arcade machine..
My old overclocked core 2 duo e7400 surprisingly beats the lattepanda.
this lattepanda has 2.7ghz turbo boost on all cores or one core to 3.4ghz
Adapt the PCIe x4 port to x16 and plug a GPU in ‘er! I read on hardforum.com/threads/can-you-run-a-gpu-off-a-m-2-slot.1900885/ that a GTX980 won’t be too limited by an x4 slot, and something in that ballpark may pair nicely with the CPU on the board anyway, so it’s definitely something I’d like to see the results of! :D
How about running Linux instead of Windows to see what they can really do... You can run Debian Buster with the LXQT desktop to have as much of the systems available. You can install Steam in Debian Buster.
They should make an m7 version of panda m3 doesn't cut it
M.2 pcie x4 slot needs a external GPU adapter.
Since the only thing holding it back is the GPU, why not run one of those type-c external.gpu board things
Interested to see what it could do with a pcie riser and a video card.
I totally want to see the Lattepanda with a gpu. It has a pcie slot, it shouldn't be too difficult, right? :D In fact, last year I connected r9 380x to an old thinkpad with i5 2410m and it worked pretty well, this be probably easier :D
You should use the pcie lane for the m.2 and adapt a 3070 to it lmao
If Po had a Ryzen 3200g it would have stomped that Godzilla
Please upgrade oldzilla!! Q6700 are dirt cheap nowadays!!
Dawid, I have watched ALL of ETA Prie's videos on the Latte Panda Alpha. (I was looking at buying one a while back.) It seems to me the only thing this sbc has going for it is form factor. I.E. if space is at a premium. So can you make the smallest and most portable native gaming system ?
Is it possible there was a typo and the intended name was LittlePanda but something got lost in translation lol
Haha!! Maybe. Althoygh the panda eyes are coffee beans. So if it was a mistake they commited hard.
@@DawidDoesTechStuff 😂
Hey can you do a pc build with the x99 Xeon processer with pricing, I hear they're pretty cool machines that don't break the bank. Most of the stuff can be found on ali express
dawid, are you going to be review the lattepanda 3???
You can use an egpu through the m.2 slots
Turn it into an old dos gaming rig
Try retrogaming, (Retroarch emulators, Game boy, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis/Megadrive etc)
I still have my trs80 tandy computer with my tape deck as a hardrive :)
Can you build a DIY all in one Pc useing po with a GPU
Godzilla was my pc back in the day. All the same spec. And i played crysis on ultra setings 💪💪💪😀😀😀
Dawid is the power supply you use in the computer any good?
you should get a pcie adapter
One of the m.2 slots is m.2 sata
Lattepanda + a real internet connection > My Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 2080 with 6mpbs connection, because physical media is disappearing (Probably for the better) and every time I want to play a game I have to wait an hour for updates to download.
For the better? Piss off.
I can see why the PC it's compared to is Core 2 duo era and not the i3/5/7 range 😅
Lattepande vs raspberry pi 4 please
you
couldd get a q6600 for $10 and more ddr2 ram. it would stream games alot better im sure
BUILD THE LATTE PANDA INTO AN ATX CASE WITH EXTENSIONS!!!
Would it be possible to get the original Quake to work at full FPS on the LattePanda?
Use the m.2 4x for a egpu
Oldzilla hahahah
nononononono you were supposed to add an external GPU though the m.2 slot
Can you use an M2 to PCIe adapter and power supply to run a dedicated video card and thus make it fly?
Hey man, i wanna get a decent gaming pc, but i am really not an expert, i just want to have a computer that can run things like Warframe or COD and such, now i would like to ask you, could you recomend a build maybe? My budget is under 700€ anything is welcome.
