These videos are amazing. Would love to see more like this. Or even the documentary style. I don’t dive and who knows if I ever will, but I find this content really fascinating. Found you thru Dive Talk channel.
This makes me wonder how many awesome channels there are on RUclips that are undiscovered! Not a huge fan of the “mainstream” fake content. It’s just for views and has no soul, so to speak.
Oh Mike, first thing I need to say is that if you drove for 19 hours in UK then you would need wetsuit and fins cos our country isn't that long! I find it very relaxing to watch you explore so thank you so much 😊
Been many, many times late 80’s all the way to the sump (wasn’t called that at that time). Rain Room, mouse hole, corkscrew, boulder room, etc. Lots of graffiti at that time. Always respected that cave and didn’t have all the “technical gear” back then just a strobe light (from diving) getting back from boulder room and hand held flashlight. Lots of cords from others but didn’t trust those.
I wish I could still do this kind of stuff, dry cave I mean. It has been a while and about 50lbs ago since I was able to do the caves up in Bloomington here in Indiana. I think I am about to start a new diet and exercise plan now that I am healthy again, so that I can get back into shape. Time to get to work I guess.
There is so much to see and do. Set an achieve able goal and get started. Tell you what you drop the first 10 pounds I will send you a 4.5 million year old megladon tooth.
Excuse me, but I'm an organized cave explorer, so I do not tour where people have gone before. With the sole exception of assisting the US Park Service as a volunteer. So, I know how many people like me it takes to renew electric lighting above the Bottomless Pit, within Carlsbad Caverns National Park

Being easy to work with is your gift, Mike. Never lose it.
Love the content sir. You are a bit crazy in my opinion, but Keep em coming.
I can hear Gus from DiveTalk screaming about how he would never try to dry cave-
Love the video Mike!
Ok I gotta know who is the first guy to find this place lol, no way in heck I'm going in there! Guess its good to know your limits:P great stuff tho!

Good Video
I don’t dive and I’m highly claustrophobic but I really love these videos, What are all the particulates in the air?
That is water vapor from our breath
Imagine having to do all of that before you could even reach the water and start the dive.

It would be nice to have seen it before all the graffiti !!
Do you guys have an air monitor when you penetrate confined spaces?
not generally a problem when there is flowing water it brings in dissolved oxygen

@@mikeyoung8968 that I will do. Ill take before and after pictures on the scale for proof.
Do you have to plan this exploration based on a certain season to avoid flooding in the cave? I hope that question made sense
How far did the dive go? And dang, 19 hours is a solid chunk of road time for that cave.
And how deep do you guys end up? Do you know?
It varies on location. We have to go where the cave goes. The one we are working on now is down to 225 feet deep.
How cold is it at the sump and during the trip in?
Water and air temp is in the mid 50’s
Why does it look like you’re smoking at times?
The air and water are cold. So your breath shows as fog

Kind of sad to see graffiti in these caves
Even prehistoric man made graffiti in caves 🤷♂️ It must be a 'thing'.
In a million years when humans have to restart, they won’t think of it that way.
