In other words a "semite" who brought Phoenician and Egyptian knowledge to the Greek world.

    Is not Greek but Illyrian/Albania.
Cadmus and Harmonia are Illyrian/Albanian King and Queen.
Cadmus give civilisation to illiterate greeks for example the Alphabet etc.

He gave the language to the pelasgians. But the Helen's had learned it after they invaded the pelasgians. Majority of pelasgians became hellenized.

@Andre-c6z he is literally the father of all illyrian peoples. All his children's names are the names of illyrian tribes. Including dardan of the dardani peoples. Who are indeed related to the dardani of the trojan war when they crossed into anatolia. Note that in the trojan war there was a general who fought against the greeks named teutamidas. Its a composite name. Teuta is a name that survived to albanians today and is famously present as the name for queen teuta who lost to the romans. Also famously and most obviously his son illyrius is what all the tribes are called illyrians. Even if the actual tribe names bare names of his siblings and newphews / necessarily. Such as parheni tribe. Daorsi tribe , taulanti tribe, paeon of the Paeonians, who before inhabited all of Macedonia was called Emathia. Many of the earliest ancient greek lengends are not about greeks themselves but some of the illyric and pelasgian ancestors as later greeks had mixed with pelasgians and illyrians after Helen's invaded
