There are versions that have Keyboards which you can play too. The Piano in this machine is interesting because the Bass Strings are in the Center and the Treble Strings are on the sides which helps balance out the tension. They got that idea from a Kalimba.
Amazing device and glad it's available for us to see. Jasper really put together an amazing collection. Still, I wonder if people paid twice: Once to see and hear the unit start, and a second time for the owner to pull the plug out of the outlet.
Hi Greg, I really enjoyed watching this video of the Violano Virtuoso in the Sanfilippo collection. It looks and sounds like it's in excellent condition and is a tribute to those who take care of the collection. Seeing the video has certainly strengthened my resolve to seek out a tour of the collection when things get back to normal. By the way, the Musical Museum in London, England has also recently posted a video about their Violano Virtuoso, which is an amazing and happy coincidence, considering the rarity of the machine:- ruclips.net/video/Ldufj3RdXI0/видео.html
This is one of my very favorite instruments in the collection. Thank you so much for showcasing it!

1:27 That note is Bb below Middle C.
This violin has that theater organ feel because of its consistency in intonation and vibrato.

Simply beautiful. Do you know of any places in the Northeast where I could see something like this?
Very interesting and impressive with only one violin.
Makes Jack Benny look like Heifitz.
Great to hear about this violano & I forget what the song is
Song title: Let me call you Sweetheart (I'm in Love with You).
Gregory Leifel alright thx Greg
