I like your Master Classes... Thanks for this one. However, I was waiting for you to tell us how to migrate a site that was modified on the staging platform to a live site without messing up comments, orders, subscriptions, etc... Maybe next time.
Actually, after reading their blog post it is somewhat clearer on how the staging and preserving on data on the live site might work. elementor.com/blog/monday-masterclass-staging-to-live-site/
Howdy. One thing I don't understand is what you do with the URL's for each of the individual pages. If the pages are created on a live Cloudways site, for example, what will happen when the live staging site "lands" ... or is uploaded... to the new live site having the domain name? Thanks a lot for the video.
All In One WP one of THE BEST plugin$ Ever! #priceless and I use Flywheel for local Dev and though I’ve been w GoDaddy for 20 years I actually just bought a GoGeek WP unlimited hosting package w SiteGround
My question is i have live website made in wp bakery n staging site made in elementor and in live site i have installed elementor n pro but how can I merge my elementor data from staging to live site in wp bakery and both are having different themes. So can you please please please help me with this 🥺 need reply asap please.
Thanks for this video, Actually, you did not fix the main issue of having a website updates regularly, by customers... and you have updates on staging/local, and want to migrate these updates only to live. How can you do that? -- Except migrating the updates, page by page.. :). If there is something like git for elementor.. it would be great..
There is no easy way to do that. If you have create a backup to test a plugin or a theme you should do the migration manually by copying the files of the plugin ot theme you tested and then export the correct tables from DB, replace the URL and directory issues and import them to the live website. Of course backup first.
@@stratos-tutorials I am not talking about the plugins/themes modifications, this will be managed by Git, no problem. What I mean by the above comment is the data generated using Elementor ( building pages/sections .. updating pages ).. and so on. Actually, This is a feature may be required by 0.5% of Elementor users, so it will not be a great deal to work on by Elementor team (from business perspective).
@Віталій Козло Suppose, you made a clone of live to staging.. Added 2 pages and updated 3 other pages.. I need by 1 click.. one of these options: - 1-click Export the new pages and updates I made on staging & and import it on live. or - 1 click migrate the new pages and updates I made on staging to live ( after setting up the remote env(live env). (WP Migrate DB Pro) can not do that!.
I am using a staging environment for testing new features. However, Elementor PRO is not working as it doesn't recognise a subdomain. How do we solve this problem? Thanks
The problem is that the staging site has a different name. So if your site is www.example.com, and your staging site is staging.example.com, the Elementor registered to www.example.com will not be registered for staging.example.com. All you need to do is re-activate the license on the staging site.
Someone here mentioned that you could use .test as your domain. I changed the domain name on my local machine to .test but it didn't work. there must be a better solution than changing the licencing domain all the time. github.com/elementor/elementor/issues/4675
Just though that I would mention an issue with using All-in-One to migrate my site to Bluehost. Somehow the Staging Directory became confused and it points to my site on my local computer. I have had several conversations with Bluehost technical support and have sent an issue report to All-in-One. So far, no resolution. By the way I am unable to change the Staging Directory on my Bluehost Production environment.
I have the same problem.I exported from staging site and imported on my live environment now my live environment is an exact copy of my staging with everything included..with my live written staging at the top. Please hepl
If you use a tool to import the website like all in one wp migration (not my favourite) it will take care of the urls for you. Except from importing the files it will fix urls and directory issues.
@@MarioBarretta it is easy but it has a 512MB limitation. Also you have to buy the pro to upload via ftp. I use akeeba wich is free with no limitations
I use AIO but for large sites sometimes its goes wonky. So I wouldn't do it this way TBH. For large sites I like SiteGround staging, but even that goes weird sometimes.
Staging on a local site no problem you can use your pro licenses, bud staging on a environment like for instant Go daddy staging is not possible without buying a new Pro licenses. So Elementor decided for me how and where I create a staging site, because if I don't do it the way they wanted me to I have to buy a new Pro licenses. Paying a € 100 a year for only staging and testing purposes becomes a little bit expensive and is also not customer friendly. Their are other page builders that support staging on a pro licenses so now I just have to wait until my licenses are expired, problem solved.
I wonder why he used BackWPup to export the live site (in the previous video "Setting Up a Staging Environment for WordPress Websites" - ruclips.net/video/ilwGdSWpSr4/видео.htmlsi=Q2R9axnC1y7LbYwK) and used WP All In One Migration here.
Literally every plugin thats been suggested in both of these videos hasnt worked. All-In-One-WP-Migration just simply doesnt work. Hoping maybe another version of this will be uploaded that talks thhrough the process with plugins that function properly.
I don't appreciate that you suggested using a plugin that makes things difficult unless you pay them money. Money for something that you can do manually for free without too many additional steps!
This is the most pointless video I have ever seen. This plugin does not change the local urls of the site, which is live, and the problems begin. The video was made for cheap advertising

Agreed. I was waiting for this too. I thought I must of missed it o O . Looking in the comments a lot of others were after that too.

True. Me too
@@jakemacleay But the blog (or video) still doesnt go into depth on granular control of DB tables and files/folders with custom deploy option.
At InstaWP, we have built a 2 way sync which can push changes on staging back to production, without messing up tables, orders or anything else.

I just want to know how to get the button links to auto change once you switch from stage site url to the actual domain...?
Please link to last masterclass. You say there is a previous one but i cant find it
When push staging site will name on site remain the same or does it inherit the staging sites test name?

I'm having issues trying to import on my live site using all in one WP, the import get's stuck at 100% and does not do anything after that.

after migrating the wp elementor website with all in one migration fonts are wrong and images size is totally wrong. what to do?

Monday Masterclass 👏
What I need to do is to import into Elementor my contents from cPanel that I already restored from a backup.
Nice but I suppose it will create "problems" since the staging url is not the same than the live url website ?
Good point. Very important to think about the URLs.
no one problem because when you import all the local stage url will be overwritten with the on line url .
