Bulgaria with the Zveno coup and forming Bulgarian Yugoslavia was one of the most fun runs I had in this mod.
ISP is incapable of playing minors in mods
3rd empire path is also very good
Bulgaria is just hands-down the most fun nation to play in Kaiserreich. Zveno-Yugo is fun, but I personally prefer the Third Empire hidden focus tree route.
Are any of those paths in KX as well?
@@FreedomPuppy I think Bulgaria has some extra formables in KX that are pretty fun (for example Volga Bulgaria), however there isnt really any point doing Bulgarian Yugoslavia in KX as it is already in base KR, which has more advanced AI, better balanced, less bugs, faster game speed, and better if you want to larp/RP
Bulgaria in Kaiserreich is pretty cool, there are several other fun paths such as Third Bulgarian Empire, Balkan Union, and the Legionary Reclamation (lose Balkan War, get Legionnaires in power, come back and defeat Belgrade Pact, very challenging path)

-Lands marines into a forest without a port

2:30 Yea Germany used to own two tiles that made their border more line-looking. The old lore was that they occupied it in much the same way they occupied Calais, but idk why that got retconned.
IIRC they retconned it because the devs deemed it to not really make sense. It made the border less defensible and dealing with the potential resistance (since unlike Alsace-Lorraine it wasn't germanic at all so Germany had no real claim to the area beyond imperialism) wouldn't be worth it for what the land had to offer.

The Ottomans and Free France are just ultimate pain because of the resistance system. Somehow it feels much worse in Kaiserreich than Vanilla. You lose all your manpower and infantry equipment within a year or two
My trick at Sand France or the Kemalist Ottomans is to not bother with occupation laws: just put it to no occupation. As Sand France, all those countries are worthless, just wait until they revolt, send in like 2 infantry divs to cap them, rinse and repeat. For the Ottomans, similar thing: don't bother with occupation, since all the arabs revolt anyway, just focus on building up the army to beat the arabs down when they do revolt.
Me who has played Ireland before and sometimes the pain you get when you conquer Northern Ireland is pain. As well as the fact of declaring war on the allies. Tbf. Road to 56 Ireland is much better and more fun to play. And I’ve heard that it is quite good in kaiserriech or kaiserrefux. Probably another nation of pain that I’ve experienced is probably Tannu Tuva or Liberia.

Good joke about the CNT. Little history lesson for everyone else, CNT-FAI stands for Confederacion Nacional del Trabajo (National Confederation of Labour) and Federacion Anarquista Iberica (Iberian Anarchist Federation). The CNT was/is an incredibly influential labour union in Spain that had an anonymous subgroup of anarchists within its ranks. You'd join the CNT just by virtue of being a worker, then maybe join the FAI if you proved to be willing and capable of being a revolutionary.

@@royearle1673 No I mean that if you were employed in a business where the workers used the CNT as their union, you'd be a member of the CNT. I was differentiating how one would become a member of the CNT vs the FAI. One did not join the latter automatically upon joining the former.

Syndicalism is a real life idea within communism. It argues that revolutionary trade unions should be the primary basis for organisation during and after revolution. Syndicalists tend to be anarchists.
I've actually never heard of "totalism" outside of Kaiserreich.
Totalism isn't actually a term to describe leftist or rightist ideologies. It just means that the government has absolute, total power, which is in opposition to minimalism - which you can guess. In leftist terms totalism would be, idk, Stalinism.

The Kaiserreich fr*nch focus tree is one of my favorite focus trees actually, and yes, Germany did own more fr*nch land. It’s still like that in kaiserredux.
Yes the Germans used to own Nancy (Nanzing); the developers of the mod thought it didn’t make sense so they gave it back to the French. I also believe wayyy back, the Socialist Republic of Italy owned Lower Savoy and Nice.
When you get to Austria the fun path is by being nice to Hungary in the ausgleich and giving them Croatia slavonia, cisleithania revolts and you can fight them and the Balkan pact first then deal with Hungary later (I just give Hungary what they want because annexing them is a lot of effort)
You know, Germany in Kaisserreich can actually get something like a -45% production cost on their medium tanks. It's pretty balanced.
The Spanish faction you supported, the CNT-FAI, was actually a real thing. They were a union of two different groups-the CNT and the FAI, both of which are acronyms for more complex words that I don't know-that to my knowledge were both anarchist groups during the real Spanish Civil War.
Their name is objectively cool.

Serbia and Bulgaria have much more developed paths than Austria. Only issue with the Bulgarian one is half the paths require that you lose the 4th Balkan War.

Watching this video made me realize how long it’s been since France was updated. If you look at France, Britain, and Russia focus trees all seem pretty basic, lackluster, and empty compared to say Austria
