  • First and the most original version about the angle grinder guide. Year after publishing this they started to make them in China. ( also several other youtubers suddenly "invented" The same )

Searched for a good build idea for the grinder. Saw this one early on and watched dozens after this one. Came back and watched this a few times. Best out of all the others. I've already fabricated all the parts, just gotta weld it all together

    •  3 года назад +5

If you watch the publishing dates of the videos? You'll notice that this also was the original version.

@ I'll have to pay attention. This video is actually the only one with this design that I found. All others were different. It was only after I made it did a bunch of other videos with this design start coming into recommendations. RUclips gave me the original first. 😊

I appreciate how you have maintained all the functionality of the various tasks an angle grinder is used for and designed in the quick-change aspect which is so important. Great!

Of all the DIY angle grinder attachments, this is the best! Took a lot of things into consideration to make it very versatile. Thanks.

After I bought my everlast welder I found I needed a grinder. Now I have 5 grinders and I am for sure going to make one of your creations for at least one of them. Thank you for the great idea and sharing

At the start of this I was thinking "What's he trying to achieve here? What's the point?"
Now I'm thinking this has to be one of the best, most useful tool-making videos I've seen. Turning your grinder into a circular saw, chopsaw and bench-grinder.
I see adverts for low-cost commercial versions appearing above where I am typing, but they don't have the fun of actually making it!
    Thanks for sharing.

    Awesome build, bro!
The chopsaw/bench grinder part at the end blew me away!
You really should consider patenting & marketing this if it's not already out there.

For the person who doesn't have bench grinder or metal cutoff machines, this idea fills those roles nicely, and you could make long straight cuts if you use a straight edge too.
The way he made the tool, and how he put this video together gives me the impression that Tuomas is good at whatever he puts his mind to. Good stuff.

That's really cool! I think I would add a removable spring to hold the grinder up when using the cut-off fence feature but only if I were cutting a bunch of stuff at the same time. For an item or two I'd leave it the way it is.

Excellent..!! Toumas, I really liked the addition to be able to take advantage of our grinder, I am an amateur to work with metal and make additions to make our life easier when working any project.
So I decided to take more advantage of it and taking as inspiration your video, make my new addition, just today to prove that it works, thank you very much for sharing.

It's the simple solutions that are the best.
Like E=MC2, simplifying things makes humans happier. You should be a tool designer as this is a great add on. It's the people who work with these tools often who know what they should do. Someone else said that drills should have flat tops instead of curved so you can press them against a vertical straight edge and get 90 degree drill press like precision from it. It's so simple yet no one has done it.

Thank you Tuomas, You are getting quite famous all around the world. Watched your video last year and frankly was intimidated my all the cutting and welding.
Anyway I gave it a go using my Milwaukee grinder. The only issue I had was that I picked a very thin material for the stand and also the plate strips did not have enough incline in my grinder.Anyway I still messed with the design and ended up using the plate from a small cordless circular saw and attaching the grinder with a door hinge (Screw grinder strips to top of hinge, then screw bottom hinge to plate make sure is all squared)
Thanks again Tuomas let us know if you can come up with a design that you can using only hardware instead of welding since most people either lack the skill or the resources.
