I saw Muguraza first time 3-4 years back playing against Serena at the AO. Although she got clobbered but i thought man this girl is so talented. She may win Wimbledon one day. Today she did.
She is so cool!
Not only that, but she also won RG last year!! Not many female tennis players can make that claim! I mean eho else are there who won RG-Wimbledon swap in their career??! I mean outside Serena and Maria obviously!...Thats right! There is no such player since Steffi Graf!! That should tell a lot how special it is to win both Wimbledon and RG through the course of one's career! (which are speed wise two fundamentally different court surfaces!) It is especially great considering Mugu is only 23 now and is young enough to keep 'em winning for at least 5-7 years more before developing physical and mental fatigue! Which means if nothing extraordinary happens she can potentially win 'em all sooner or later! I understand that its a stretch at the moment and it is filled with lots of "ifs" at this point, but right here right now Mugu is in a perfect position to make much more history, than she already made! In all honesty though, in my opinion she should improve her consistency on other tournaments on at least 1000-900 ranking pts level, because those are next big tournaments after grand slams and wta finals and she won none of those! Same goes to Kerber! But Kerber is 29, while Mugu is only 23! She unlike german has plenty of time to work on her consistency outside grand slam, so that she could snatch more of those 1000-900's throughout the course of her career! Thats all given she won't choke, like the rest of the wta tour! Here's hoping *fingers crossed*
R F lol same I remember than match
R F that
R F The future looks bright for her.. I'm predicting double digits in Grand Slams before her Career ends.
Muguruza is a player who can beat anyone anywhere if she is on her game. The surface doesn't really matter.
lol
Mc Enroe thinking : the amount of money i would have spared if i had the hawk eye technology back in the day ..
Hmm something tells me Mac would have blown all his challenges in the first 2 games and then whined as usual for the rest...
And I say that with all the love of a fan :)
How I CRAVE for Garbine to return to such glory times.
I seriously believed she would easily win atleast 6-8 grand slams in her career
Congratulations to Muguruza! Well played well deserved.👍
Gaby, lots of love from a village in India. Thats the reach of your fan following now. Keep charming the world with your game and grace.
Yess she will get gold this week too👍
I'm so happy , she deserves this so much she won Roland Garros last year and now Wimbledon it's amazing for a young woman like her and I think it's only the beginning come on Garbiñe !!!
Enhorabuena Mugu campeona!! Te lo mereces!
The lines judges really had a bad day at the office
c fedyszyn yeah, and in the first set one of Venus' serves was out by quite a bit but they didn't call it
true, I was surprised the main umpire didn't call this one out
MyPumpkin00 I agree 100%, I hope they're on their game tomorrow
Congratulations to Muguruza.
Great job Muguruza! With that hammering of a second set, she definitely deserved it the most.
When Under pressure and huge expectations some turn into Muguruza and some turn into Bouchard
Venus is a physical specimen. It's amazing she reached the finals at the age of 37. Most players retire before their 30s.
she has nothing better to do. no life. might as well keep playing tennis.
"nothing better to do" than reach the finals in wimbledon is a pretty damn good hobby
dip.C And the Australian Open
grandeeeeee garbiiiii
ha hecho un torneo de 10, luchadora y talentosa... has creído en ti y nunca has dejado de luchar. Tienes un tenis espectacular.
sigue con sam y conchita
Her both championship points against sisters are amazing
Win or Lose , Venus is always gracious, what a champion!
Yeah let's say Venus is a Champ and completely ignore Garbiñe, the real champion today.
HAHAHAHAH Marcos xDDDDD
Maximilian Jens Williams got owned by an offensive player with confidence
Maximilian Jens Garbine is the champ now.
Look at me, Garbine is the champ.
The second set was awful (0-6)! Very sad that Venus gave up!
0:37 Venus' congratulatory smile is so beautiful. oh man. Glad this is how this year's wimby ended for the women!!
CAMPEONA!!!!
Congrats garbine ...
primera tenista española en ganar roland garros y wimbledon... has hecho historia
sigue así...
humildad
talento
lucha
No seas simple
gives me chills I cry when she fell down on her knees God was with her!
Enhorabuena Garbiñe! Te mereces lo mejor! =D
Congratulations to Spain, from Serbia
Isn't Garbiñe the only player to have beaten both Serena and Venus in two grand slam finals?
GRANDE
The winner takes it all....
the New queen of tennis Hermosa 😍😍
with 2 GS ?
If she's the queen with 4 titles, Serena must be the goddess...
She's only 23. No one expects her to be a new Serena. We in Spain are already happy we have a girl who wins slams again. That was a long time ago.
Bd H More like "The Queen of Spanish Tennis". Of course Serena is in another level.
That One Guy Garbiñe is still young...
congrats spain
Well done Muguruza. She played very well in the important moments.
Venus, what a great year she had so far . 2 grand slam finals in 2017. Just hope she recovers from these loses and hope she plays well for the rest of the year. Still got that US open and YEC to go. U never know, she might pick one of that.
From now let's hope Muguruza plays well in all the tournament she enters. She can't just show up her A game in the GS and forget about the rest. Thats how she'll never make it to number 1.
She completely dominated the second set. Nice run by Venus and Great job Muguruza.
The same way she challenged the last Championship point against Serena at Roland Carlos, and same here again, and she won them all!
GARBINE!!!!!👍🏼
congratz to a new champion
Been cheering Muguruza since her face was full with acne scar...so glad she got rid of it Oops! got the trophy :) just kidding ha ha... She's my most fav. female player!! Though I had to keep my finger cross while watching her play so many times ha ha... Wishing more Slams to come!!! Truly Big congrats!!!
Nice win for Garbine!
Spanish women are beautiful.
At least this one is.
Dig Muguruza and glad she has revived her game again, but was rooting for Venus.
Chances keep slipping away. Guess 7 matches was too much to ask for.
Great, I knew she's going to win. Williams only got to the final because she got easy opponents. Garbine is the best female tennis player right now, and should be number 1.
FELICIDADES MUGU, eres la mejor!!
Yesssssssssss
Grande!!🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
Grande Venus! Grande Muguruza!
What an amazing win, what a women she is ❤️❤️
Dale campeona!
Good job Garbine. I'm so happy for her.
(Viva Gamuza!!!)
congratulations
Congrats to Gabrine!!
Congrats to Muguruza, it was a dissapointment to see Venus fall apart in that second set, but she's always a great champion. Hopefully she can win another major soon
Muguruza ❤️
venus again proved that the age is just a number ^^ congrats my cutie for win u deserved it guru
Congratulations!!!!!!!
❤❤ Garbine
shame for producing such short highlights through out the tournament. fortunately someone else is putting together a longer more interesting package.
where is other Williams?
Grande Gabine, Grande Venus
Horrible linesmen in this match.
Well done Garbiñe Muguruza 2nd Grand slam and Well done as well Venus Williams but still i feel there is one more Grand slam final for Venus and maybe she will win the Us open this yaer no doubt 37 of age is a good achivement As For my dear John Macro in both years Us open 2017 and 2018 both winners will be Both Williams Sisters but will see in the Near future Regards,
viva españa
Congratulations muguruza 😊😊😊
Congratulations to Muguruza who only lost one set in the hole tournement. (in the match against Kerber, which maybe was her hardest match)
El mejor partido del torneo.
Siii,morcilla!!
Great to see Venus lose.
Why
what’s wrong with u
Garbine 🇪🇸 The best
The blind line persons at Wimbledon 🙄
Wow, she dominated Venus Williams in this set.
I was rooting for Venus, she's 37 and her chances of winning another slam are very slim at this point.
Roland Garros champion - 2016
Wimbledon champion - 2017
VAMOS GARBI!
garbine is venezuelan from venezuela to commentator that is native south america
Glad that Garbine Muguruza won. Frankly, I am glad Serena was not playing. It would have been boring had Serena won again!
Clear that Wimbledon had other ideas with them missing calls from Venus Williams when she hit the ball out multiple times
Where is the spanish national anthem? I want to see that glorious flag 😁 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇬🇧
VAMOS MUGURUZA CAMPEONA!! VIVA LA MUGU!! WOOT
Man, this last point was disappointing :/ BUT Congratulation Muguruza!!!
I guess Venus is only killing it off the court.
venus blew it,she handed the win to magaruza on a silver plate, had she converted the set point the dynamic of the match would have been much different
serena will come bak to win wimbledon next year
nice to see a woman win one of the grand slams....
Muguruza wis 3 wimbledon 1 us open 1 french and 1 Australian at the least!
highlights please?
Venus !!!!!!!
V India and newzealand word cup 2017
That line judge made a mistake on two championship points, someone will be getting a bollocking tonight
More frustration for Venus: She loses to the girl that baby sister Serena defeated on same court.
bicycle 6-0 in the second, william sisters check
Viva España
Every one loses one day, it just happen...
7-5 - 6-0. This is the kind of crap I expect in the ITF. Don't try to tell me Mug is so great when she recently got walked over by Strycova and lost to Barty.
Muguruza learned from Federer on how to win a Grand Slam with a challenge😂
she's Spanish-Venezuelan
This I know. But she chose to represent Spain instead of Venezuela. Personally, I think it was the right choice.
Venus can be so erratic and one dimensional. What makes Serena such a great champion is she studies her opponents game initially and once she figures it out there is no turning back. Serena would never have gone down with this scorecard. Venus was doing the same thing over and over. Making errors everywhere. Konta would have done a better job. I think the crowd and even the lines people all wanted Venus to win. I can't believe no one saw the balls out.
this is good victory..she always beat williams in grand slam final...she beat Serena in France Open ...and she beat Venus in Wimbledon..maybe she could beat Halep in Us open and she beat Wozniaki in Australia open..hahahahha
Muguruza shouldn't have been able to challenge. She hit the shot, then saw that it was a weak shot that Venus could have put away and then she challenged
The ball was out, what is so 'sorry' about that.
A very anti-climatic ending, because of a poor call.
Yeah not Muguruza's fault that the linesmen couldn't do their job. Spoiled her big moment somewhat.
Muguruza=Roberto firmino
women 2 sets men 3 = equality
