  • Follow along with Johnny Trujillo and the crew as we boat pack in the materials for one of our favorite articulated flies to tie up on the bank of the river. The "Drunk & Disorderly," invented by Tommy Lynch and aptly named, moves just like it sounds. It's side to side rapala like motion causes vicious eats from eager fish looking to pack on some pounds. This fly can be tied in a variety of sizes and colors but in this video will be demonstrated in the shad-rap color combination.

    great music here, no histrionics, incorporating the river shots but getting to the fly tying without too much preamble. I appreciate this effort.

      Much appreciated, glad you enjoyed the video! Davis James put this one together - he's one of the best videographers you'll find in the Denver area!

    Really like the way you tied the flanks on the lateral side on the front hook. Really dig that! Going to tie up a fresh batch with this technique.
    By far my favorite tutorial for this pattern thank you.

    Hopping in here for the tying video itself, and cought the shot of that Scott 😂 I own two Scott radians. A 9’ 8wt and a 10’ 7wt. And I’m in the market for a 9-5 now and obviously seriously considering the centric. Do you love it? Lol

      The Centric is fantastic. A little bit faster than the Radian, but has all the touch and feel you could want in a fly rod. The 5wt and 6wt Centric are probably the most popular rods we sell. Absolutely recommend it!

    Do you fish that on a sink tip or int?

    • @AnglersAll
      @AnglersAll  5 месяцев назад

      It can be fished on both a sink tip and a full intermediate line. That said, we prefer the full intermediate or heavier sinking line to get this fly down.

    Does intentionally bending the shank for the lip decrease the hook strength a significant amount?

    • @johntrujillo9698
      @johntrujillo9698 3 года назад

      The hook will 100% maintain its strength if you have questions feel free to stop by the shop

      If it were a size 14 or 16 hook I'd worry but bending a size 2 or 4 is of no concern for trout fishing. Have fun at the tying bench!

    What Wt rod do you use to throw this fly?

      7 or 8wt will do just fine!
