Searched for a video of Isabell after I learned that she personally flies with her horses to competitions (instead of sending them with a groom). So much respect for her as a rider and horseman. Will definitely be cheering her on in Tokyo!

That’s a joy to watch, such a masterpiece of a riding, utmostly impeccable training of the horse, choice of music and perfect timing of all the elements. And this is number what horse trained to the highest level by Isabell? There is Isabell and long long nobody else that can even up with her

I really did not know much about her but what I saw today in Olimpics makes her a legend in all time. Respect and thanks for letting the world see her amazing abilities, and such a beautiful and wonderful horse.

now lemme tell you guys something... training a horse is hard af and takes alot of work but for dressage... thats years of work for you and your horse thousands of dollars for training and lessons not every horse can do it
That is an understatement. The general public has no idea how long it takes to train a dressage horse and rider.
It is the most difficult of all the Olympic games- it takes a partnership between two different species!!

This looks horrible to me, so much tension from both of them and her head is behind the verticle.
She is obviously a great rider but she is NOT an elegant, quiet rider in anyway. Her riding always looks like a struggle........ Charlotte Dujardin is a beautiful, elegant and quiet rider.

absolutely incredible ride. would anyone with more experience be able to tell if that tail has been desensitized? not one swish throughout the entire difficult routine.
I've heard a rumour that the real tail was surgically removed so the one you see is false.

What do you mean by "Charlotte Dujardin 2.0!" ? Isabell has been winning olympia gold since 1992. In 1992 Charlotte might've finished 1 grade.

Es gibt auch Medikamente die den Schweif betäuben. Schmerzen von Sporenstichen können dann nicht mehr durch Schweifschlagen vom Pferd angezeigt werden.
How in the heck do they teach these horses to do this? Hoping it is not cruel.
Ideally, through years of progressive and gentle training to slowly develop their strength so they are capable of performing the movements (for the top level, about 8+ years). But there will always be people who care more about winning and doing it quickly and cheat their way through at the expense of their horses.
