It actually kinda ages and dries up in a cool color, so when you go back to look at what you wrote in that color, you could be surprised cuz... I for one was like "wait i dont remember the ink looking like this when i was writing with it" lmao
I have seen people saying that the parkers inks are now the same as the waterman. What do you think about that? Is this similar to the Parker Blue that you have reviewed?
The old name for this ink was Waterman Blue-Black. I like the color, but never saw it as a blue-black, more of a muted blue. So Mysterious is a better name for this excellent ink.
I use this ink daily with pens whose medium nibs that tend to run wetter, and on the paper I use they appear a solid blue-black for most part. When I write quickly or more expressively, the shading comes through but not so blue as it appears in your video, that looks like a royal blue to me. Nonetheless, I love it as it's easy maintenance, daily quick-drying, and affordable. No shame using Waterman as their inks are safe to use in anything.
the mystery is how this ink will look after some time, I've had ones go full teal or out right green on some paper after days and some stay the same after years.
good question, this is looking like serenity blue...the mysterious blue sample I have looks more like a blue-black EDIT: I recently learned that Waterman changed the mysterious blue formula; it now leans more toward blue now as shown in the video, the sample I have is of the old formula and it looks decidedly different, leaning more towards blue-grey and sometimes drying to teal on certain papers!
The best blue-black ever! A *professional* ink. It's fabulous!
I really like Mysterious Blue a lot. I need to get a bottle once a spot opens up in my collection...
One of my favourite everyday blue inks.Very well behaved on all sorts of paper.
Totally agreed!

Excellent review, it is good to see some affordable inks reviewed. I would like a review from you on the Waterman Harmonious Green
I’ll have to get a bottle
@@TheInkedWell I'd really aprecciate that :D

I find them to behave differently…and I prefer the Waterman.

I've got my bottle sitting now to see what happens...We'll revisit in a year.
