believe me or not, I have been searching and watching so many videos just to find this video of How actually you can design and propose steel sections for a steel structure. Usually in companies jobs as structural engineer, they will give you the structural shape and will ask you to give us propose optimum sections for that steel structure base on analysis. I am watching the playlist and I am sooo grateful to you for this. Thank you so much.
True, but also keep in mind that sometimes, not all sections are available in your region. So maybe you would end up using sub-optimal sections because the cost of "importing" other more optimal sections is more expensive PS: Sorry for the late reply. I had a ton of things to finish and now I am gradually getting back
Hello Doc, Thank you for the wonderful work you are doing ! Connections are a very critical aspect of steel design, It would be mighty awesome if you could do a video on steel connection designs probably include baseplates, beam-column connections, steel-concrete connections and several other connections their natures and implementation in RSA. Thank you
Hey there ^_^ I am honored that you like my vids. I think you are right and the connection video idea is indeed needed, usually I "merge" connection design in bigger videos, but yep, the channel is missing a dedicated connection design video. I will do that one. As soon as I can. thnx for the suggestion, sry for the late reply, for some reason, your comment did not get highlighted for me. Well, better late than never, Stay tuned for more content, CEE
thnx a lot ^_^ I am happy you found the video beneficial. If it is possible, please consider sharing this channel with your friends. It would help a lot. Regards, CEE
Great tutorial once again sir. RSA is really awesome in Steel member design and optimization. The reason I love it. Moreover, This essential tutorials is really taking shape and am pretty sure a lot more viewers will get on board once we go past this stage. Regards
I agree, the tutorials are getting more technical because I am able to reference past videos for extremely basic tasks. Glad you liked it. I am working on a truss modeling and design video, and it has some new aspects of steel designing. I think it will be ready by tomorrow. I recorded it and it is being edited. RSA is even cooler in RC design.
I use Etabs for concrete design, I am thinking RSA is good for steel but not concrete. I want to use it for my steel projects, it is only that I have started learning it after beige watching what it can do in steel design.
Thanks for your sharing! I'm really like in steel members design in Robot but it look like you didn't show how to change or give the tip to change in Code Parameter in Members Type for Beam secondary beam, interior Column side column & Bracing. If you can share that it very helpful for young Engineer like to learn more, I'm really stuck there. Thanks again

Great to know 👍🌹
Wishing u all the best
Sir, can you please give some knowledge on how to design a user-defined section by the above video method? User-defined members are not designed.

Sure no Problem. I will consider this👍
@@CivilEngineeringEssentials Thank you very much, I'm looking to see it.
