Captain Amelia Sato leads the deep-space vessel Odyssey to a newly discovered planet, Cradle, shrouded by a mysterious crimson energy barrier. As they approach, alien ships trying to enter are repelled by the barrier. Dr. Kai Tanaka detects unique radiation from Cradle, while Engineer Dr. Evelyn Walsh suggests a full spectrum analysis to probe the barrier. They receive a telepathic plea for help from an alien council, a collective consciousness of multiple species, trapped by the barrier and seeking assistance. The council offers advanced technology in exchange for help. Amelia decides to engage, intrigued by the prospect of alien technology and the mystery of Cradle, leading to a complex interaction with the alien council as they attempt to penetrate the planet's formidable defenses.

I agree 100%! AI still is in beta. Far from perfect like they think it is.

Honestly, prefer the ai readings over the unbearably annoying voices this guy uses for the aliens. I only listen to this channels readings because the stories are actually good unlike a majority of the ai readers. My favorite HFY channel is SciFi Stories because they actually use a decent ai voice and do proof readings to make sure the ai doesn’t fuck up, and they have the best HFY stories I’ve found on RUclips (better than this channels stories) like the black ship, Terran contact, bubba yaga, the new threat, and they recently picked up Out of Cruel Space (although I listen to this story on interstellar Roadtripper because they’re fully caught up on the 1000+ chapters)

Ps, humanity is likely not special, but that does not mean we can’t improve.

Ps, humanity _is_ likely special, we are likely the first civilization to reach the stars, the universe is so young that most civilizations that _will_ exist don't yet.

@@francistaylor1822Well think of how lucky we were in our history, we’ve been struck down to mere thousands left, have survived ice ages and lived through great slaughters of humanity in its own doing.

All around, I like your voice, presentation, inflection, etc....
But as a, over stimulated human of the modern age, throw in some visual stimulus on any video over say 10.5 minutes, if you choose of course....

I liked the story, but the thing that almost made me hate it is the video appearing as overlay near the end and stopping me from reading, it destroyed my suspension of disbelief. I was told this is decided by the owner of the channel, so please deactivate it.

quite the AI style of writing done. repeating details we've JUST heard, about how x uses y for z. again. and again. and again. this just feels... so bad lol
