    I bought the infuser based on your review and glad I did. And I can confirm the infuser seems to do real well with the darker roast. Lighter roasts are so-so but the darker roast seems to be a lot more balanced. Edit: that background music is perfect.

      Hello @AriefLatif
      Thank you for your kind words friend, we love having you here. The Infuser is a great machine. What grinder are you using with it, the Smart Grinder Pro?
      I'm glad you enjoy the music, so do I.

    Good morning Omniel:
    It's after Christmas, our external family members have all left so now it's just the two of us again. My normal routine is to get up around 5:30 am and take our little dog (Sassy) outside and then watch videos, play on the internet, etc., in the mornings mostly before daybreak. Over the past several days, I've been getting up around the same time, but rather than playing on my computer I've been busy getting up, taking a shower and getting dressed and then immediately beginning to prepare breakfast for everyone. We've had an seven extra people here for several days, plus three extra dogs running around the house all wanting to go outside and be fed as well. I've also been busy making other things like Oatmeal cookies, Cinnamon rolls, Rice Crispy treats and trying my best to keep our kitchen clean and dirty dish free (which has actually been impossible).
    Now that everybody's gone back to their own homes, things are mostly back to normal around the house. The main difference now is that we have quite a bit of leftovers sitting in our refrigerator and quite a few Christmas decorations that will need to be taken down (probably on January 2nd or 3rd) and then getting the house cleaned up again. It was wonderful having everyone here, but it's good to be back to a more normal daily routine again.
    Now that I'm done rambling... Thanks once again for sharing another video with us and here's hoping you enjoy a Happy and Healthy New Year.
    Kerry

    Hi Omniel, a little advice, if you don't mind. You should start brewing immediately after clamping the portafilter. Every second you wait - and there are a lot of them in your case - has a negative effect on the result in the cup. Give it a try, you will notice a big difference. Cheers

    • @OmnielCapote
      @OmnielCapote  9 месяцев назад

      Hello Peter, and thank you for your comment. Is it OK if the portafilter is prepped but not clamped? Otherwise, how would I have time to set up all the cameras? Obviously, when I'm not filming, I can pull the shot right away. Let me know buddy, and I will experiment with it. Thanks.

    • @peterborchers410
      @peterborchers410 9 месяцев назад +1

      Omniel, if you prepare the portafilter and do not clamp it, you still have to be quick so that the portafilter does not cool down too much. It's just difficult making good coffee and filming at the same time. Perhaps it would be an option to have someone helping you. He's filming, you're making coffee. By the way: I wouldn't necessarily count Lavazza among the top notch roasters either. In Germany, we have many small, very good roasteries close to where we live. If you buy there, you get very fresh, varied coffees. If you have one of these in your area, I would give it a try. And unless you consume large quantities of coffee every day, I wouldn't buy such large packs. This is because coffee in opened packaging quickly loses its aroma.

      Hello Jerome, and welcome. A faster shot has helped at times. In this comparison, I'm not sure if it would have helped. Notice that the Bianca shot ran longer, and it was smoother, sweeter, and overall a bit better in this comparison. Who knows, maybe it could have worked. Both shots were very good, although not perfect. Thank you for the comment buddy, it really helps me to keep making this videos. Have a wonderful holiday season.

    I'll begin by wishing you and all viewers a very Happy Holidays. Now, back to coffee ;) My Bianca has never seen such a dark roast. I once had something locally roasted that was supposed to be dark, but it turned out to be medium-dark, and I enjoyed it. Since I'm roasting my own, I might prepare something darker one day, but I just don't enjoy traditional Italian style shots anymore. It's interesting how this coffee behaved for you, perhaps because it's not as fresh as the single-origin that we've become accustomed to?

      Hello friend. Not at all. The difference was obvious, and the shot from the Breville was way better. I know that the Bianca should do a better job than the Breville, but for some reason I have struggled on the Bianca with dark roast coffees. The problem is not the Bianca, it's me 😅. Have a wonderful holiday season my friend, and thank you so much for the comment.

      @PatrickChong-ud3lk Hello Patrick. I already took it apart, and blew out the input end of the pressure guage. However, the tube that was connected to guage, I did nothing with. Is that the tube I should blow out? If so, maybe I will try it again. Please let me know. Thank you buddy.

    • @PatrickChong-ud3lk
      @PatrickChong-ud3lk 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@OmnielCapote That is a possibility, try clearing that tube. After that, you might also check with using the 1 shot dual wall basket, by itself the reading would be about 10:00 o'clock, assuming the gauge really isn't broken.

    Nice video - loved to see you struggling 😂 - will get my "Lady" early January. ❤ and can imagine to fail for the 1st 50 shots 😅
    Guess you have to redo the video... before, make sure you have corrected/adjusted the offset and improved your puck prep. Btw.... the coffee does not really look "fresh".

      Hello @oly7744
      The Bianca gives me trouble on dark roasted coffees 😅. I already recorded a PART 2 to this video. I have to get around editing, and posting it.
      As far as the freshness, I purchased it through Amazon, and I'm sure it could be fresher, but I don't think that was the problem, because it didn't affect the Infuser at all. Thank you for the comment my friend, and have a wonderful holiday weekend.

      Hello @bbr9945 and welcome to the comments. Do you mean the Breville, the Bianca, or both?

    • @bbr9945
      @bbr9945 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@OmnielCapote oh the Bianca. I mean 22 is pretty coars for espresso and after that first bad shot you grinding even coarser. I would say that you should try finer grind size! Suggestions are around 10-18 for espresso (also dark roast, especially the once in big bags (the get dry pretty quick so you need to adjust to finer grind size)). Try it out!

    • @OmnielCapote
      @OmnielCapote  9 месяцев назад

      @bbr9945 I agree, definitely the beans were not the greatest. The only problem is that I was getting some bitterness. Don't you think that if I were to grind finer, than the shot would slow down, and become even more bitter? I've been struggling with the darker beans, and I definitely still have much to learn. The good thing is that you can have a lot of fun learning, and the coffee is still better than a lot of what you can find around here anyway. Thank you for the recommendation, I will experiment.
