Was you by chance part of the crew for COPS USSR? 7 episode special of Fox's COPS filmed in Moscow and Leningrad, I have 2 episodes of it but I can't seem to find the other 5 no where..I could kick my self endlessly for not taping them when they was all rebroadcast long ago on UPN but what's done is done :(.
I didn't know there was 7 parts? I thought there was only 2? cool!/ hope to find the other ones! I've only seen the first two I believe
Armand Keywell If you see the clips on each opening they show segments of each episode. I could kick my self ten times over for not taping it's reair from about 10 years ago on UPN..they aired them all but I didn't think at the time to tape them :(.

I watched it when it premiered back in 1989, It was a 7 episode miniseries to COPS. they also did 2 episodes in London that I got too thanks to a torrent. I have the 2 episodes of COPS USSR I have up on a vid site I'm on, I'll find them and link you.

@Black Mack There were 7 episodes to the USSR one, It aired actually for a week, this "1 hour special" was a premier of it..I remember one where they dealt with juvenile delinquents playing with fire and the scenes you saw in the opening, That house fire,the cop fighting with that guy,the one where they're yanking a guy out of car, plus this clip you watch was part of a episode..All that's been released online via torrent is 2 episodes and NONE have this clip in them plus they are heavily edited versions despite the fact the original mini series was entire and NOT edited, further I have talked to a fellow from the USSR that knew some of the crew involved with it, We have been trying to obtain the rest of the episodes but they never responded back to his request. The entire mini series was reaired about 12 years ago on UPN and I regret not recording them to VHS so I could transfer them to DVD and then thus to PC. Now, HongKong was just 1 episode that I know of but London was 2 episodes, I'm fortunate enough to have these thanks to a torrent. The HongKong one wasn't as intresting though as it wasn't typical "COPS" and was rather just a specialized Police unit they filmed

If a cop WITNESSED you committing a crime, that wasn't enough. There had to be a citizen who also witnessed it. Of course if it was organized crime, no one would speak.
Some Chechen was arrested with ounces of opium on him. He claimed it was personal use and "medicinal" for him and his family ("if we have a stomach ache"). He was ordered only to go to drug rehab, and never showed. Openly taunting the police and press that he was mafia.
And so on.

Обычному человеку в этой самой лучшей стране думать в общем и целом вообще не положено. Незачем ментальному рабу свободамысли. В этой стране население - это стадо баранов в уютном загоне. За тебя думает партия и комсомол. Промывка мозгов начинается уже в детском саду. Ещё более агрессивной становится в начальной школе, а дальше прессинг становится непрерывным. В институте, на втором курсе ты либо уже комсомолец, либо отчислен.
Молодежь, кому меньше 25-ти лет, даже представить себе не может весь этот триумф маразма, где роман Оруэлла «1984» воплотили в жизнь. Я хорошо помню советскую школу, все эти октябрята, пионеры, комсомол - конвейер штамповки биороботов. В СССР воплотили в жизнь двоемыслие, как известной песне «одни слова для кухонь, другие для улиц». Разумному, мыслящему и свободному человеку в таком обществе места нет и быть не может ..."

@@rayman17578 it's not really that shocking, the USSR was definitely warming up to the west before it collapsed. Most people don't realize they ended the Cold war before their collapse also
