- Many of you have been asking me about my alternative hands for Barbie dolls so finally I decided to make a video about them! These are 1/6 doll hands, and they come in many different poses such as thumbs up and peace signs! You can find a lot of them just by searching "1/6 doll hands" on eBay or Amazon! (you can find the ones I use in the video down below!) They only come in one skin-tone, so painting and customizing them is necessary! The only ones that match perfectly for the Purple Top Made to Move Barbie are the plastic ones (first ones in the video)! I hope this video was helpful! I love using these hands in my videos and doll photography, and I hope to find more in different poses or maybe even try making my own someday! You can also reshape most doll hands by heating them up with a blow drier and reshaping them ( you can even separate the fingers by cutting them, but you’d have to be really sure of that since you can’t stick them back together ) and then setting them by dipping them into ice water!

Early. I never knew you bought the hands
If you have the patience & could get the mix right, I've seen Dollmotion have great results using RIT dyemore brand dye & a matte varnish I believe to dye the Obitsu hands. Hope someone finds this useful. Have a great week & stay safe everyone. 🌟

Here is a tip for painting rubber (I watch a bit of moriah elizabeth) so you can use gesso and it helps the paint stick really well:-)

For the rubber hands you can try to put a sealer as a base and then paint the skin color, I’m not sure if it’ll work or not

For the hands that are harder to paint try using a sponge like the ones meant for makeup that you throw away after

You can also put some coats of liquitex and after you put a lot of dry pastels coats, I don't know if it work on every types of dolls but I saw a lot of time this method to dye the body I hope its helpful (and just to say it is a lot longer process then painting)

For the rubber ones have u tried to sand or rough them up at them paint and seel :3
