    Right, this is so utterly daft that it's actually right off the scale! No BSA Bantam is worth more than five quid. This crazy astonishing beautiful unique creation has unravelled my slender grip on biking reality.

    in 1968 I put the arrow engine in a honda benley cb92 and used it daily for 8 years and rode it to the Isle of Man twice,the last couple of years I modded it with twin carbs from a Suzuki super six and forks from a honda cd 175,my fiend Derek put one in a tigercub frame ,and Steve put one in a Gillera 175 frame all in the same year

    the 2 front cylinder heads are high compression ,the rear ones are low compression

      Hi George. The plugs would have hit the tank with high comp heads on the rear, so all the heads are machined to be low comp..

      @@Roy2cycle could do with raising the comp and lifting the exhaust port trust it would fly

    You made it look original they should have made this! Got to ask with the light weight and that sweet 2 stroke power.How does it compete will a 650 or 750 4 stroke from the time?

    Brilliant, Can you do that to my 2cv

    Why did you not just leave the RG500 pots on and put the whole engine in a bantam frame? Or am I missing the whole point here?

      Hi. Thanks for your comments...It would be toooo easy just putting an RG engine in her.... Plus, i like my aircooled 2 stroke engines...

    How on earth did you manage to get the carbs to the sides of the motors disc valves?

    • @razor1uk610
      @razor1uk610 5 лет назад

      It is using a Suzuki RG square four engine/gearboxe crankcase, which uses disc valves and carbs, and since the Arial Arrow cylinders heads are each 250cc = 500cc, apart from some jetting and chocke differences, they should work reasonable well with adjusted stock RG's Kehin/Minuki carbs.

    How easy/hard was it to put the Ariel Arrow cylinders on the RG bottom end?

      +Scootertuner1000
      Hi Scooter...Its pretty easy really. Take your RG500 measurements and overlay your Ariel cylinders...Have adaptor plates made (metric rg500 to imperial Ariel) Source your pistons. In this case GT250 suzuki machined to take the thrust washers. Machine the cylinders to suit the new stroke of 50.6 (from 54mm)...I had all the machining done by Stephill engineering in Northampton....Easy peasy...I'm just finishing another Bantam RG400 / Speedfight scooter top end. www.scootershack.co.uk/threads/speedfight-street-sleeper.35205/page-2#post-338569
