had the pleasure and luck of performing with Les , great guy and talent . I love doing all his songs some of mine and man blues and Motown ,,, needless to say it was cookin...
I've been a fan of Exile for a long time. Got to meet them a couple of times. Great guys to talk to. Les Taylor is my biggest musical influence. Exile is the greatest!
Kind of makes one wonder what became of good songs and singers that could keep soul in country. Need more of this ... Les & T. Graham kind of folks around. Just listen to the tempo of this one, rare anymore, not to mention that sweet, sweet B3 at the end.
Got to see Exile in concert a few years ago. And, I ask them why they didn't include this Les Taylor song in their concert. They really didn't give me a good answer but myself and my wife absolutely love this song. Also, bought a CD from them that they autographed for me. One other interesting thing is my very first CD I bought back in the late eighties was Exile's Greatest Hits. I Couldn't get my hands on that particular CD because I have so many but would have loved to have gotten that CD/Case autographed. Anyway, they really need to include this song in their concerts.

I love anything soulful !! And this tune hits it on the head.
Also Lee Greenwood and Ronny Milsap.
Now all you hear in country is a bunch of twang song writer type voices . Instead of soulful singing except for Chris Stapleton , he's good.
Check out Curtis Salgado and Mike Finnigan , very Soulful vocalist.
Remember playing this one on the radio when it was brand new. In fact, I probably haven't heard it since then. Thanks for sharing this!
