Mitch EASILY has the best release in the game. buttery smooth. quite possibly my favorite of all time. how soft he can lay it down with still having that much hand / power is truly special. as a SPI guy, I'm STOKED that he's rolling for 900 G! I can't wait to see what he can do with some of their current and upcoming releases! def one of my favorites on tour! Good luck this season Mitch! looking forward to more vid collabs with him.
I don’t have many revs as I struggle to stay “under” the ball. I typically stand left foot on sit 20 or 15. Aim around 10-15. Ball motion for me is usually like a J, not a hockey stick shape. Any idea if this ball would be for me?
You say the 3.0 with a pin down layout is storing more energy and hooking more downlane while the DV8 with pin up rolls earlier and is smoother downlane. I've always been told the opposite so this confuses me. Would you explain this please?
Pin down flares less, pin up flares more. If you take the same ball with those two layouts, that will be the difference between the two. Less flare, more stored energy and later movement from the ball (in general). Pin up flares more, will move earlier/see the lane sooner, and will move harder off the spot (in general)
Bowling is weird because in a lot of cases the rules arent rigid. In terms of shape, pin up generally is a bit sharper and pin down smoother. But, pin up balls typically have more flare and pin down conversely usually has less flare. So under certain conditions, the pin down ball CAN save more energy and be more responsive down lane because it is not flaring as much. And on the other hand, there are times where the pin up ball is flaring a bunch and losing too much energy in the mid lane, and appear to be smoother on the backend.
Look up Mitch throwing the Widow Ghost on this channel. He drilled the same ball pin up and pin down, so it might be a better example to see the difference between the two
At 68 years old my changes have been minimal but for sure I carry a drill sheet with my current specs in my bag. Never know when you are at a tournament and away from your pro shop operator and need to replace a damaged piece of equipment.
Nice one guys! Bringing in Mitch was a treat! Good comparison to the Brutal Collision. My league teammate has one, so I can relate to this ball comparison. I Stull may go with the BW 2.0 Hybrid drilled with a pin down layout though. 👍
I keep a picture of my spec sheet on my phone. I also have my specs on an excel file that I use to keep track of my bowling balls. I haven't changed pro shops in a while, and I don't get stuff drilled when I travel usually, but it's always nice to have, just in case.
My PSO has my numbers. I basically know them, but don't keep track. Recently went with some finger side pitch changes, and as you know, there's a big difference between a good fit and an almost perfect fit.
Sup Mitch, I leave the fits and layouts up to the proshop operator. However, I have been going to the same guy for about 8 years and he has a profile chart for everyone that he works with. So, I think if I were to keep up with my own, I would use something like the same system that he has set up.
I need that to put in the closet with the ghost and the gold thing and the viz-a-ball widow. Of course I stopped bowling before I could drill them. Shot 300 with the 2.0 then stopped 2 weeks later…
Dang. No mention of ball specs or even the drill layout , just pin down. All the editing not a single mention of the important stuff. I did learn they put the HK22 on this. Guess I’ll find a video that shares the actual info on the ball. Thank you for showing how he throws this random layout.
When practicing different lines, physical things, or testing a ball you may try different things that aren't necessarily the ideal way to score for the condition you're on. For example, in practice I sometimes will use a ball and/or line that I'm not comfortable with or which is "wrong" for the pattern in order to work on a particular skill or see how different balls react in different parts of the lane, or simply to challenge myself for fun.
the dva ball packey love that ball! and that ball reminds me of the clone that I have! pin up hook alot when u get it to the right by the Fiction on a 45 foot house pattern! and that's OK that's what u want on a house shot on sports pattern no u want a weaker ball to control the front a lil more like a venom shock u can play stright all day long and it won't over hook cuse of the weak core
Okay... I don't get why you would compare two balls with different layouts. His older ball with pin up, looked better on both patterns. Maybe a video of the 3.0 with both layouts?

This ball looks like it's for really heavy Sport Shots. Or the average 200 rev rate league bowler. For me I think its pretty much off limits unless I start bowling regionals within the next 2 years. Which I may but buying balls has become a gamble with the 2 year rule they put out. Edit: My point is that building an arsenal and bowling regionals has become pretty much a no go since the 2 year rule has been implemented. I'm not poor but I can't justify buying 1000 worth of new bowling balls every couple of years just so I can compete against people who are much better than me. If I'm being honest.
I know these lower profile guys bounce around a lot. For just pennies more and a few free jerseys. So in the end you don’t care about the ball really just who pays you to rep it.
@@No_Lucks_Given I like Mitch and it's not a knock against him. Do you know how many people have one title that you never heard of? Any pro sport has your high profile athletes and then your lower profile less recognized. They are still professionals.

Mitch was so excited for this ball, he switched to global so he can’t throw it anymore 😂😂😂😂
Love watching Mitch bowl. His release is something else.
Very clean. Not a lot of wasted motion. Repeatable. I hate him. Jealous I am
Isn't Mitch with Global 900 now?
@@aaronlipscomb6880 This was filmed just before he switched. I was confused too at first lol.
Hk22,gas mask, and Hammer?? I'm in!
it is always a good day when Mitch is in a JR Proshop vid.
With around the 350 rpm I roll, this ball is controllable and affectivally giving me a higher average every week so far.

I just ordered one I'm so excited this will be my first widow
Loved the original widow when it first game out, but this mofo right here is AMAZING!!! You will definitely enjoy it!
Never realized how buttery smooth Mitch's release is, dang.
I was late on the 2.0 Hybrid. I will get this in my bag ASAP

I’m a big fan of the Black Widow line, this ball looks like a monster. Will definitely add it to my arsenal

This will be a good companion to the Black Widow Pearl 2.0. What are the numbers on the layout?
The Ghost or the newer 2.0 Pearl with HK-22?
2.0 HK22

Mitch is with 900 Global now isn't he?
A must have
Wait, pin down to store energy ? Other videos saying pin up stores energy for a late break and higher angle..

You won’t see that much shape out of a Gem or Reality. I have the BW 2.0 Hybrid and love it, may need this one at the top of my bag.
1. I am a PSO so I keep track of my own stuff and others. 2. Love the look of this one, super excited to get it.
Mitch is smooth with it
You need to do another pot game video. I enjoyed it. Alots of fun.
Looks like a more dynamic xlr8. I now have another on my wishlist 😂
Im so excited 🎉. N i just cant hide it!!!🎉
Yo! Black Widow is all you had to say and Im here.
I have this ball, and it's a beast!
Been thinking of replacing my BW ghost with the Crimson Jackal and this 3.0 pops out
Ive been thinking of adding the hybrid to the bag but also cant decide if I wanna swap to 14lb accidently ordered my ghost pearl in 14
Ik ben een motiv fan , maar deze doet mij echt omver blazen , ik heb de motiv primal
Het is een beest
Shout outs to everyone on this production radio. Where to go? Mitch
Looks like a massive backend
I leave it up to my pro shop operator he knows my game better than I do he been drilling balls for me for 25 years

i keep it up to my pro shop owner. I might give suggestions
What layout was on his 3.0? 70x5x70?
My revs look like its higher than normal with this ball. I think its the color pattern making the rate appear higher.
I need that to put in the closet with the ghost and the gold thing and the viz-a-ball widow. Of course I stopped bowling before I could drill them. Shot 300 with the 2.0 then stopped 2 weeks later…
How does the 3.0 compare to 2.0 solid could they compliment each other or r they too close together
I throw a backup ball. Could i use the black widow ?
Rip, the last time anyone will see Mitch throwing any of the Brunswick balls for a while. SPI HUPE 2024.
Didn't mitch just sign with global?
theres a disclaimer in the description. Filmed in Nov 2023
Damn really? I wonder why Brunswick let him go. He's a sleeper for sure.

is that a sharp angle bevel on this thumb or is the top of that slug sitting well below the surface of the ball?
Probably his thumb. I prefer to not sand mine so it is very sharp. If I throw it bad, it hurts
He doesn’t have a lot of taper on his thumb insert. It’s definitely flush with the surface of the ball. It better be since I drilled it! 😂
@@Barksbowling I guess just the camera angle on a couple of those when he's wiping it down. Keep up the good work Barks.
What weight bowling ball would you say is the best this technique?
14-15
A global 900 staffer throwing B7?! 😮
This was recorded before the staff changes.
Just seen Mitch throwing 900 global. Did Mitch switch?
Well, this didn’t age too well with Hupé reviewing. Guess he can start joining Jungo on the SPI side.
Lmao. Just got a 2.0 drilled yesterday. Too funny.
Mitch Hupe is the GOAT
Forgive my ignorance, but when someone says “if I was bowling for score, I would…”. What other things would you be bowling for, other than score?
When practicing different lines, physical things, or testing a ball you may try different things that aren't necessarily the ideal way to score for the condition you're on.
For example, in practice I sometimes will use a ball and/or line that I'm not comfortable with or which is "wrong" for the pattern in order to work on a particular skill or see how different balls react in different parts of the lane, or simply to challenge myself for fun.
Mitch literally just signed with 900 global. This will be the last video of him throwing a ball from the bruniswick company
Mitch can make a ball from any company look great!
Kind of strange seeing this today while he at the same time revealing he changed to SPI on facebook. My feelers are confused.
There is a glitch in your video. Was that an accident?
can you get these balls with no markings or company logo? just one solid color.
Why would you, the logo and markings are the best
Hook is like garlic. You can never have too much of either.
pov you see that mitch is with 900 global now
sheeeeeeiiiiiiiiit..............I still can't keep the original Widow on the lane on a league shot.

It was probably the other way around. Bowlers don't make enough money and they probably weren't willing to pay him as much as SPI was.
