PSA - this is MODDED gameplay. Not trying to claim I achieved this, because I definitely did not. Keep reading to see just how insane of a claim that'd be.
"Amazing Feat" - Little pretext; Amazing Feats are a form of achievement system in Wii Party U that recognizes incredibly rare or difficult moments throughout your gameplay.
"Amazing Roll!" - The Amazing Feat showcased in this video is titled "Amazing Roll!', and until now, has never been captured on video. The description of the Feat is, "Roll the same number on all of your dice (either 7 or 10 dice total) in Highway Rollers."
The Odds - Just based on the description of the achievement, you can likely tell this it's not very easy to get. Luckily for us, some basic math gives us the exact odds of obtaining our Amazing Feat.
The probability that ten, six-sided dice, all end up landing on the same number (as shown in this video), is 1/6⁹, or 1/10,077,696. See why I called it the most unlikely achievement in video game history?
The more likely way you'd see this Feat legitimately obtained, is via the seven dice throw. That being said, the odds are still a staggering 1/6⁶, or 1/46,656.
Assuming you get one roll per 3 minutes of gameplay, it'd take nearly 2 months until the odds were on your side for the 7 dice roll, and over 28 years until the odds were on your side for the 10 dice roll.
The Technique - So, if this achievement is supposed to take 30 years of constant Wii Party U gameplay to obtain, how'd you just see it? Well, mods, obviously.
To be a little more specific, the guy literally recreating Wii Sports in his spare time (@kiwidev_), was able to disable the dice's physics, which is why they disappear shortly after being thrown. The game attempts to read which side of the die is facing up, and due to the lack of movement, all the dice have the exact same number, forcing the game to give us the Amazing Feat!

Preemptive FAQ:
Q - Why are the odds 1/6⁶ & 1/6⁹ rather than 1/6⁷ & 1/6¹⁰? There are seven and ten dice after all.
A - Due to the requirement being that all dice must land on the same number, regardless of what number it is, the first die actually isn't included in the probability equation. It can land on any number, and the following 6 or 9 dice must match it, therefore they are the only ones used.
Q - Aren't the odds slightly better if you're forced to roll the ten dice before being able to roll the seven dice?
A - Yes! Albeit slightly is definitely the right word. As previously mentioned, the odds of the seven dice being the same are 1/46,656. Factoring in the ten dice rolls as well, your odds of either happening are a nominally better 1/46,441. So yeah, should save you 215 rolls or so!

I understand that you rigged your dice for demonstration purposes.
But this is rarer than winning the lottery! I can only imagine at least someone on earth got it the hard way.
You’re right! Wii Party U actually had online servers that tracked how many times each Amazing Feat had been achieved, and unfortunately due to the recent shutdown of the Wii U servers we won’t be able to track the exact count anymore, but prior to that, we knew there were 43 other people in the Americas, and likely a similar number in Europe & Asia who were lucky enough to meet the conditions!
Unfortunately the game doesn’t distinguish getting the achievement with 7 rolls vs 10 rolls, so we may never know if someone legitimately hit the one in ten million… but I like to think so!
An estimated 100 or so people may make this achievement seem easier to obtain, but it’s important to remember that everyone who’s ever played Highway Rollers has unknowingly entered themselves into the Amazing Roll lottery, making the # of winners higher, while also making the # of total entrants even bigger.

It's fine that the visual makes it obvious that this was a hack, but since the games are so heavily RNG dependent, it seems like someone else could come up with a hack that would allow them to destroy world records that took tens of hours of grinding for normal humans to achieve.
I did the math, and the odds of a theoretical 3 turn run not including the challenge gates are approximately 1 in 13 nonillion if you roll the dice correctly. With the challenge gates including rolling a 60 for the final gate the odds are bumped up to approximately 1 in 1.8 duodecillion!
If you also rolled only green lights on the second challenge gate the odds are bumped even higher to approximately 1 in 2 tredecillion!
The universe doesn’t even have the lifespan to attempt this!

This is that last one i need. And its been a whole year since i started trying to get this Amazing Feat. I was hoping there would be some kind of timing of when to throw the dice to make it happen. But its all just down to luck.
I'm curious since I haven't seen it yet. Does it count if you get the Amazing Feat by rolling the same number using 2 dice, plus the 5 bonus dice you get from rolling matching numbers?
Hey Nill! Nice to hear from you. It's amazing that you've managed to accomplish the 29 other Amazing Feats, and it sucks for completionists like you and I that Nintendo decided to add one thats purely luck based, especially to the extent that it is. I'm rooting for you to be the first person to genuinely capture footage of this achievement being obtained!
Also thats a very interesting question! I just checked, and unfortunately it seems like the 2 dice + 5 bonus do not yield the achievement. Hope thats able to save you some time in the long run!
I agree, it really does suck for us completionists. I was hoping that a challenge that is difficult as Amazing Roll, that Nintendo did something to make it just a bit easier like some kind of timing or something else. Overall, I'm hoping to get it soon, thank you for your support and for the info.
I was thinking that would happen. It definitely does help knowing that I can just play Highway Rollers doing 1 on 1 instead of all 4 players to speed up my chances of getting it hopefully soon.
