I think that using more UFOs (e.g. purposefully landing on an UFO space, but the player you swapped with lands on ANOTHER UFO space, and warps you back up and gives you free moves (or swaps with another player who lands on a third UFO space, repeating the process)
Thats a good theory. I think you can make CPU1 win first minigame and swap with CPU2, which does insane rolls like the tas, and land on the second UFO in turn 2, swaping with the player Tas was in second UFO in the second turn, with 20 tiles away from finish. If a CPU lands on this tile at the second turn, and then swaps with tas, you can beat the game in 2 turns, maybe faster You can manipulate cpu rolls by waiting in your turn, but maybe thats a little too much

I have some questions: 1: Wouldn't it be faster for Pablo, on the first round, to get a four & a five on the first roll followed by a six on the vine (assuming that being launched from the vine is faster than walking), or a five & a six on the first roll followed by a 4 on the vine (assuming that being launched from the vine is slower than walking)? Getting a double should technically be a waste of time when avoidable, as you have to roll an extra die. 2: Wouldn't it be faster for you, on the second round, to roll three sixes instead of three fives? By rolling three sixes, you'd end the round being 11 tiles away from the end. Thus, by winning the third minigame, you would be able to subsequently roll a five and a six (totaling eleven), not wasting time via rolling an extra die. 3: Assuming RNG manipulation is possible, can you manipulate the selection of the minigames (more easily) or the other players' rolls or both? For the former, the shortest minigames could be picked. For the latter, the other players could get the lowest rolls that go trough the least "effect tiles" (like the tornado) or "events" (like the vine) possible, wasting less time on their other turns. The first two questions may or may not be possible or faster because of the RNG manipulation. Either way, this doesn't remove any merit from your great TAS.
This is great! But I think there could be some timesaves. 1. You could click faster. There's a time gap between when you can roll the dice and when you actually rolled it. Idk if it's intentional, but I hope there will be a mod to control the dices' movement. 2. You can try to manipulate the 3rd and the 4th person's dices to make them not even have the chance to use the rope, which actually takes up time.
Could the NPCs not passing the vine obstacle in Round 2 have saved any time or would waiting for the RNG actually have made enough of a difference for the outcome to be worse than what it is in the video?
In a perfect run, it would save time if the NPCs stayed behind the vine. However, during this run it was faster to let them go so I could get a quick minigame and a good roll. In the future, I hope to cut down this time.
@@c4t_j it could also help cut time, in a perfect run idk the rng, on the second to last roll, getting two less would put you on a 6 boost, allowing for no need for doubles on the last roll, idk if that is slightly faster or not than the doubles clap and roll time but thought id give my two cents
The first time I TASed board game island was March of last year and again in December but this time using 3 Players. Proud of someone to find a improvement for me, though. 👍
Sub 6 minutes would be possible with good npc roll rng where they don't get to swing the first vine, but since the TAS also waited to throw the dice at the last throw, I think it has something to do with RNG manipulation, which probably makes it impossible
You should try optimizing it to see just how fast a game could possibly go, probably by hitting dice right as they appear, more UFO swaps to get more progress on one turn, etc.
Two questions! Towards the end, you were only getting 5s and needing to wait longer before rolling. Is that because wii party rigs the odds to make games more close? And next can you make a TAS where one player is insanely good but gets comically bad luck every roll
