We got all our gear back bud, I had re- rubber 2 fleets, but that's nothing after a sea like that.🌬🌊
We are so lucky we got our gear back, some of the fishermen weren't so lucky.😔

Just found this vid. Boy...when the North Sea gets going, she really goes. I've been down south too long I guess. I'd forgotten about the Nor'easters back home. That "Perfect Storm" (Oct 28- 2 Nov 1991) wiped out a boat load of harbors, boats & gear all up and down the coast here. All I can say is I hope you stayed dry, safe & didn't lose too much. Thanx for posting. This one was really great.

And a couple of fleets that were like shoe horses.

Hopefully people will appreciate just how precarious the livelihood for a fisherman is. Massive losses over night have such a huge impact on life without an economic crisis on top. As we've seen before in your vlogs Barry, even with great conditions there's no guarantee of a good catch. Even with a good catch there's no guarantee of the market price being high. Bless you Barry for always smiling [I hear that some fishermen are grumpy and who can blame them]. Great vlog and music fab. xxx

Weather forecast said a heavy drizzle, but I didn't think the sea would be as bad as that, realy serious weather there, doesn't look good news for the creels yes good idea to take them out early next year

Yeah, its, a terrible time of year for the fishermen....replacing gear, was expensive before, now that the price of materials have went up, the costs keep rising to keep boats and small businesses afloat. 🙁👎

Do you not bring your gear in at the end of October or move them to deeper water ? lobster pots are to expensive nowadays to leave scratching around in the winter months. I hope you don't get wiped out...good luck cross fingers.

And believe it or not, it actually sometimes better to be in the shallower waters with this direction of wind and sea.
