- I asked the community to give me your TERRIBLE app ideas. In this video, I am taking 3 app ideas and building them from the ground up and taking you along the journey from ideation all the way to programming of these app ideas. I will take a deep dive into the programming concepts that I did in order to reach the final product and then showing the final result in all of its glory…
We cover: a horrible spellchecker app idea - a spell checker that stops your input and compares every letter to the english dictionary. Written in TypeScript as a Chrome Extension.
A Depressed AI - An AI that needs to be cheered up by the user written in TypeScript and Python with ChatGPT implementation.
A dating app for horses - A dating app exclusively for horses to match with other horses. Written in TypeScript and using firebase to power the backend.

Man, the effort you must have spent in editing this video.

I have never felt so called out before
To make the bobbot crappier, i would actually ask the gpt model to also return a rating of how it's feeling out of 10. So if it fucks up and does not send the rating the entire app breaks.

Dude, you know what would be more annoying. Writing the first project in zig, since it has no inbuilt string type and cannot compare strings, I think it would be at least 500ms slower.

The word checker should do it with every word in the world and give a list of all words which it could be the actual word (even if it is right but it exist a similar word in another language)

How do you know you know you are a programmer. Liked games a lot as young, kind of burnt out of games. But I have the urge to build something or innovation. However I doubt my skills constantly and doubt if I can make it through the education as software engineer
