Beautiful job, especially love those sturdy benches. One thing I did to a similar shorter bench was just add some cleats about 10” down from the top, and put a 3/4” thick sheet of MDF in there that I could slide in and out, with supplies on it, but of course drawer guides would have been better, and it does limit the height of items on the bottom shelf.
I setup in my sheetrocked garage, and because of space limitations basically did something similar to yours, but with only one overhead cabinet, and had to put 3 benches in, in different areas of the garage. One 5’ Humber sturdy bench tied to the cement floor and the firewall for a Dillon progressive, one 6’ bench with two single stage presses, and one 5’ bench across from that just for brass prep. Wish I could have a wall with gun mounts, but have to make do with safes. You did it just right from the ground up. Beautiful family helping there as well, congrats! 👍

The gun room has been awesome, there's very little that I would do differently
Awesome room would do similarly here in australia if had money but i am satisfied with my safes...cold steel sr1 just set up bench in my end room not a gun storage room but a hobby space now dedicated to raising animals, gun smithing and cleaning. have to have alot more security features if we build room here with massive heavy door and a certain thickness of bricks.... its great having an area to do gun stuff in the house and not in kitchen or dinning room/table, the shed is to cold and dirty... best regards damo

Where did you get the butcher block tops and what sizes are they?
I got them at home Depot. I don't remember exactly what size they were.

Yea I cut them to length and left the width alone.
