I enjoyed that fly-over to the birthplace. I agree Tupelo is a beautiful town. As a Brit abroad, I've always felt safe when filming there and although it's changed somewhat with the Barnes Crossing area etc making it more commercial and attractive to businesses, the downtown area especially retains that classic smalltown America vibe that appeals to me so much. When you're in Tupelo Hardware for example, apart from us obvious tourists (☺) it seems the staff know all their customers personally.

The Spa Guy video’s are a remedial course in good manners. I myself, had great parents like Spa Guy but my yes sirs and yes mam’s have been few and far between until I started watching the Spa Guy! I use sir and M’am every day now because that’s the way we should talk to people. Elvis learned from what I’ve read, the E Am B7 blues chord progression in Shake Rag by African American blues musicians. I always believed that his time in Shake Rag is where Elvis learned his style of singing and guitar 🎸. “Baby What cha Want Me To Do” is a great example. Elvis has been accused of cultural appropriation by the millennial crowd wrongfully. If they did their homework they’d realize Elvis couldn’t take something that was already his! He grew up in it! 💙 TCB ⚡️

That stinks because your videos would have been a good help in educating my sister who was with me who didn’t know much about Elvis. I know a lot because I’m a fan but I was explaining stuff to her. I went and explored Tupelo with my son because of you. You a phenomenal documentarian. I wondered if you have ever considered comprehensive longer timed documentaries of the things you have recorded. You have the equipment, the talent, certainly the voice, and the ability to create long-length documentaries. I believe you haven't begun to appreciate your potential to really do something bigger. You have the gift. You essentially are a director, producer, writer, editor and productionist.

Mr. Spa Guy, Thank you for your always wonderful videos. I watch them every Monday and Thursday. I very rarely comment. I live in KY and a road close to where I live is called Shake Rag Road. How it got its name, back in the 1800's when people wanted to catch the stagecoach in that area they would stand and shake a rag to flag down the stagecoach, hence the name Shake Rag Road. Also my wife is from Nashville and her parents live in Westmoreland. Thank you and have a great day.

Tupelo ya say would be a good place to live.
Elvis born there I bet influences the character of the people.
In White Rock BC a small border city next to Blaine Wa. USA the train stopped with Elvis greeting the fans as he was traveling to Vancouver.
That spot needs a history sign telling that fact.
    Keep history alive.
Elvis definitely deserves to be remembered where he was born & else where. The super star of super stars.
(Side note Billy did ya hear about Geneva Wood? She is a 90 yr old who got Corvid -19 at the Life Care Centre in Kirkland ( Seattle ) 2/3 of residents got it ...much death. Geneva & her children are praying people with lots of faith. She said she felt God's Presence with her in the room at night. She now is back home eating scrambled eggs & coffee !!! She had gone in the care home temporary to recover from a stroke.
Lots of web stories of Geneva and her faith to beat this Corvid 19. Incredible ! Oh her faith & medical team & her potato soup ...vs Corvid 19 . 60 minute match 1 fall. 1-2-3 Geneva pins Corvid 19 !!!!!! Hope ya do not mind me adding this in. Maybe like Elvis he "did it his way sometimes." )
Wonder if Elvis visited Tupelo much...like maybe he went for a 11pm drive & return to Graceland.
Think Elvis has fond childhood memories.

APRIL 5, 1936 - An F5 tornado touched down in Tupelo, Mississippi, forcing a 14 month-old Elvis Presley into the cellar with his mother, Gladys. Elvis’ father Vernon was out of town looking for work at that time. The twister claimed the lives of 233 people and remains the fourth-deadliest tornado in US history.
Around 8:30 p.m., the Tupelo tornado emerged from a complex of storm cells and touched down in a rural area approximately eight miles outside of the city. Making its way toward Tupelo, the massive tornado killed a family of 13 as their house was swept away, and injured many more before reaching Tupelo's west side. Retroactively rated F5 on the modern Fujita scale, it caused total destruction along its path through the Willis Heights neighborhood. Dozens of large and well built mansions were swept completely away in this area. Although missing the business district, the tornado moved through the residential areas of north Tupelo, destroying many homes, and killing whole families. The Gum Pond area of Tupelo was the worst hit. Homes along the pond were swept into the water with their victims.
The majority of the bodies were found in Gum Pond, the area which is now Gumtree Park. Reportedly, many others were never recovered from the pond. Reports were that the winds were so strong, pine needles were embedded into trunks of trees. As the tornado exited the city's east side, the large concrete Battle of Tupelo monument was toppled to the ground and destroyed. Two nearby brick gate posts were broken off at the base and blown over as well. East of town, granulated structural debris from the city was strewn and wind-rowed for miles through open fields. According to records, the Tupelo tornado leveled 48 city blocks and at least 200 (perhaps up to 900) homes, killing at least 216 people and injuring at least 700 people. The tornado destroyed the water tower and produced numerous fires in its wake, though overnight rains which left knee-deep water in some streets contained the flames. Though 216 remained the final death toll, 100 persons were still hospitalized at the time it was set. Subsequently, the Mississippi State Geologist estimated a final, unofficial death toll of 233. Some estimates indicate that the actual total may have reached 250 or more dead; few of the devastated black neighborhoods were thoroughly surveyed and their dead remained uncounted. Because newspapers published only the names of injured whites-a stark corollary of racial discrimination that even separated black and white relief programs after the tornado-it was difficult to follow up on the fates of injured blacks. Similar forms of discrimination persisted into the 1940s and 1950s, affecting documentation of tornado deaths even then.
The storm, despite its ferocity, left the home where Elvis was born relatively unscathed. The home stands today, much as it did in 1936, though the ceiling and roof have been replaced due to age, not because of the tornado. Not only did the storm rip through the town of Tupelo, but its 15 mile path affected rural communities as well. The morning after the storms rolled through Tupelo, other tornadoes developed near Gainesville, Georgia, claiming the lives of an additional 203 people.
