My last ex was a cop in Southern California in the late '70s. He was stuck on graveyard shift one night, 2 or 3 in the morning, sitting at a gas station at an intersection, bored, and drowsy, when a car drove up and stopped at the light. He turned on his flashing lights and pulled the car over just to have somebody to talk to for a few minutes to wake himself up. When he ran the guy's driver's license, he found the driver was wanted for murder in Florida! Fortunately, the guy didn't resist.

No, it was red. It was the early '70s, and things were looser then. His excuse was just asking why the guy was out at that time of night. But as for my ex's overall ethics, well, notice that he's EX. @@mage1439

I knew I was not going to be able to take care of my son with my mental health issues so I left him mostly with my ex husband, his dad, and I can say that when my son was in the hospital after he was born and I was healing that the hospital was going to make a complaint even though my ex and his parents were with him constantly just because I wasn't there. I almost died so I was trying to recover but they felt it wasn't right I wasn't there like no one was there. It makes my ex who I was married to at the time pissed because he knew why I wasn't there. The time & thought she put into planning this is insane. I hope that all the officials who put this child repeatedly in danger were forced to view his autopsy & attend his funeral. I've watched a woman yell at her child on a full bus, the child was barely talking let alone being loud. Once off the bus, we all witnessed her beating her child. Everyone on that bus was pissed, and most likely made some calls while at it.

In this womans case, beuing a kid killed in prison, the other woman are going to put her just barley above a pedophile. Oh Kabir, this story was such huge news here in Minneapolis, and it really emphasized the need for change in our child protective services. I have a couple friends who are social workers in one of the two counties named and they were disgusted by this case. They saw it as a huge failure. Minneapolis, well the whole metro area is in a lot of ways very progressive. But when it comes to family type issues, like this one, the commonly held thought is that the child belongs with its mother and ignoring the father, as if he is just a sperm donor. Minnesota is not a death penalty state however, there are some people that think in cases, such as this one that it should be reinstituted.

Courts, typically, favor giving custody to mothers, which is bullshit. While the end result of this case is, thankfully, rare, giving mothers chance after chance is not. Fathers don’t appear to have the same rights as mother, regardless of how damaged a mother might be and how wonderful a father may be.

    • @pc2555
      @pc2555 10 месяцев назад

I'm no expert on the matter but from what I hear this is coming from is that the mother-favored custody laws were created back in the old days where women mostly were financially dependent on their husbands or men and the concept of an evil mother was less of a consideration since more people had morals. It sounds like they have just never been updated, they're still that old and leads to unfair situations and distorted justice since women's situation has changed where they now can even have equal or more money and power over their husbands.
Should be a priority country-wide to update the laws.

So many family courts prioritize reunification of the family above the ongoing safety of the child. This harkens back to Ye Olden Dayes when children were considered the property of their parents, and restoring property to a legal owner was paramount. My personal opinion is that the child should come first. Safety and stability for the child comes before family reunification, hands down.

As someone who’s family has worked with foster care, their primary concern is to return the kids to their biological parents, even if those parents show no signs of change. It took years for them to sign away the rights of the bio parents of all three of my adopted siblings. As for the mother thing, most states tend to let the mother get the child more often due to traditional parenting roles and the fact many women in these situations will say the father was abusive and made them do all the horrible stuff(whether it’s true or not)

To make a very long story short, my Daughter’s fiancé’s (they recently got married) ex trumped up charges against them, and the cops fell for it again and removed them from their first stable home, this has been going on a few years, the egg donor ex lost full custody to my son-in-law due to neglect and abuse, yet the law put them back in her home, 😪
Without any way to afford lawyers to end this mess it makes me scared for my grandchildren’s safety, so sad the officers and courts did not do their jobs and look all the way back to when the ex started this and how it gets worse each time, 😪

As a former CPS worker, I believe the child and the father were seriously mistreated. Subjecting Eli to the repeated abuse and neglect of his mentally ill mother while his father showed complete parental concern and ability makes me ill. The police who pulled her over also should have been held accountable for letting her go and even taking her to her apartment. Reunification can be a good thing if the offending parent is indeed compliant and appears to have no concerning behaviors. That was not the case here. This is a sad demonstration of reunification.

You have innocent parents having their kids taken for no reasons and then you have evil parents getting custody of their kids. Sad, very sad. This whole giving custody to the mom the majority of the time needs to change. Custody should be based on which parent is the most responsible and which parent will hive the child the love and security they need.

Anyone involved with this case and letting that poor kid go back to the parent should be fired and jailed. People try to make it “complicated” because of morals, screw that. This woman never should have had the kid. Just shows how incredibly unfair and biased the court system is when it comes to either the mother or the father getting the child. The mother can literally put the child in danger and not care for it and the courts will still let her have full custody before considering the father or just give the child over to foster care. It’s messed up and in case they all forgot the child wouldn’t even be born if not for the father. I will never have a child of my own with the state of this world.

Hey Kabir, I had to stop watching at 5 minutes in as Ibcould see the writing on the wall.
It’s important that this kind of thing is watched and called attention to, and I hope you keep doing videos like this but they are not for me.
When I was 10, I knew a boy named Paul. His father was out of the loop, and his mother was paranoid and crazy and homeless, shacking up wherever she had to,to secure a roof over her head.
Paul was just hell on wheels. He stole, he hurt animals and by the time he was 15 he was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Paul and his crazy mom went out of state a couple years later and through friends of the family I later learned that before he turned 16, Paul was in jail serving 17 years. He was tried as an adult
Around the same time Paul left my life, Max entered it.
Max lived in a house that cost a million dollars in the early 80s and his mother was a doctor and his father was director of sales for a pharmaceutical company.
Max had all the food he needed, an insane swimming pool, tons of toys, video game consoles with tons of games. I was about 5 years older than Max, and he was always asking my advice on things, and wanting to tell me about what, he’d learned in school, or what book he was reading.
Max moved to Ohio about 3 years after I met him. When he was 17 he started drinking, and when some cops pulled him over he fled and went head on into a tree and died instantly.
Being an adult now I can look and realize that Paul needed stability and love.
Max had both but his parents were just too busy to pay much attention to him. That’s why he always wanted to tell me about his day, and life. That’s what I talked about with my mom.
The world is backwards if a child can fall through cracks in that way. If insane, unloving, uncaring, drug addicted mothers are preferred to raising children over a sane father.
When kids this broken fall through the cracks this badly, the “happy” ending is driving into a tree. The “normal” ending is drug addiction and stealing from family members to support it, or crime, or worse of all spawning more kids who will go through the same crap; or all three.
Seen it before, all too often.
My own father put a knife to my throat when I was age three and threatened to my mom he would kill me if she divorced him.
Same guy made my older brother get out of the car and drove away when they were 65 miles from home.
My 12 year old brother hitchhiked all the way home.
My mom was a great person believe it or not, but she was just raised in such a way where she was told to do what her husband wanted no matter what.
    Peace.

Poor Kabir...I can see his soul becoming an adult in real time. Just an advise... if you talk about things like this, you will be flagged as a right wing pro patriarchate and so on....

Are you so lost that you actually believe that last part? That's ridiculous.

Man, what a sad case. 😢 The system failed Eli! This shouldn’t have happened! His dad should’ve had custody of him! How much proof did they need to realize that his mother was mentally unstable?! I mean WTH! 🤦‍♂️
