    Valuable info for advanced players that’s not easy to find in a review. Keep this up you can grow a lot... I have the same issue in the backhand as if I take head light racket that I prefer to hit with the backhand goes nowhere. This seems to be well balanced racket, maybe for the players who want more weight just put it on the handle and you fix all issues. Only thing that they could of added is 18 20 pattern version, I feel this is gonna break like crazy...

    Great review, switched to the Tour from Ezone 98, wisest thing I did! Great plow through, super stable on off center hits, knife-like slices and solid and crisp volleys. Only con was a bit of slow speed on serve, but maybe it is just my motion. Did not feel it slow to swing on single handed backhands though.
    Fully satisfied, thanks for the thorough and much detailed review.

    Saw your videos and really helped me choose, went from the 360 radical pro to the pure aero tour (green and black), gave me the power and spin, but lacked the control, then just got this ezone 98 tour and in the first match i felt just dialed in immediatelly! Now its time for selling the babolats..

    • @calazaplay
      @calazaplay 3 года назад

      Sergio, have you see much difference between pure aero and ezone tour? I'm mean, not in control, but in head speed, swing. I'm use pro staff v13 now, but it's lack of easy top spin and my two-handed backhand is better on p. Aero. But I want the balance of control, power and spin.

    • @sergiocoser87
      @sergiocoser87 3 года назад

      @@calazaplay Apologize for replying so much time after, just saw the notification. I felt the ezone tour gave me that extra weight i was used to since the 90's, the head size of this racket seems much as a 100 because os isometric. Its not a spin beast like de PA, but the open string pattern combined with a spin oriented poly generates e decent ammount of spin. Like Karue said, the higher swingweigth and more head heavy balance makes this racket more demmanding, but once dialed in, its very precise. I have pure strikes 3 gen too, 305g, worth to try, very similar to the ezone tour, but more light and manouverable.

    Great point about finding a balance between what fits for your important shots.
    Federer did the same thing when switching to the 97 from the 90 and changing his swingweight in 2017. He made his game more backhand centered instead of forehand centered.
    I recommend trying 3 grams at the tip on this racquet for your game. Looks like forehand comes through a little late and "blocky/flat" on offense and you're using the string pattern to bring the ball down instead of fully swinging out. Would still keep the great ball pocketing.

    Great review, Mate! I used to play with the RF97 but after demoing this racquet I absolutely loved it and made the switch as well. I play with a 1 hander and I personally found it very easy to swing through the air after my RF97, but I am coming from a very heavy racquet like yourself. I've noticed a trend with younger 1 handers like Tsitsipas and Thiem to be playing with a slightly head heavier setup (around 33cm balance) so I guess its just preference.

    • @jaysean9589
      @jaysean9589 4 года назад

      Are they? You basing this off their specs or the racquet they endorse? Because the racquet you can buy that looks like theirs is not the same racquet.

    • @DanielFK2395
      @DanielFK2395 4 года назад

      Racquets they actually play with. I know for almost certain Tsitsipas plays with the pro stock H22 with specs SW: 343 Mass: 335 Balance: 32.7cm and Thiem is apparently playing with the Pure Strike 18x20 2014 edition at SW: 345 Mass: 337 Balance: 33cm. Once you add an overgrip to the Ezone tour it ends up being around 32.7cm balance.
      In the end it is just up to what feels good for you to play with though, I was just saying I like hitting 1 handers with the Ezone tour, other people may not.

    congratulations for switching racket. It’s a hardest thing every in my tennis life, i felt that I’ve never know my self enough when I consider to switch a racket.
    Please help me. I’m currently using Wilson blade 98 v7 18*20, now i want to switch to the Ezone 98 tour. I’m a aggressive baseliner, double hand backhand. I’m considering this Ezone, because i fund that i need a little bit more spin and power for a higher lunch angle without losing tons of control. Both rackets have similar balance point and swing wight, should i consider this switching? What is the trade off if I switch to Ezone 98 tour from blade 98 18*20.

    Interesting video, as usual. Just curious, you like this racquet, whose specs are relatively head heavy (4pt HL strung), whereas you found the Vcore Pro 97HD, whose specs are more headlight (7pt HL strung), less manoeuvrable. Is it just that the 97HD you got was out of specs for the balance? Or was it the combination of balance and static weight that didn't cut it for you on the 97HD?

    • @Karue-Sell

      @daddyV88 3 года назад

      @@tobireiter I made the same switch about 4 weeks ago and absolutely love the results so far. While I loved the control my gravity provided, the lower launch angle was causing issues especially against good players that forced me to rush my shot or when I had to hit on the run. The Ezone Tour gives me the same level of control but is definitely more forgiving. My serves are also a lot better and I can put more top spin on the ball easily. The weight is almost identical too, so the transition was pretty easy - I'm considering experimenting with a leather grip but love it in it's stock form as well. I highly recommend demo-ing the EZone Tour!

    Great review! Have been using the Vcore 95 for a few years now and love the feel, control and power (customized) but have been recently looking for a racquet which is more forgiving with bigger sweet-zone while having similar flexibility and being heavy & stable in stock form, while still maneuverable enough. The specs and your feedback really fit the bill (and I have tried the older Ezone model, which didn't feel so good but great serves and power), but I am a bit wondering about your comment about the one handed backhand.. I have also tried the Vc97 HD and had a fantastic one handed backend with this, my forehand was less good actually. If this is the case with HD, do you think there will be issues with Ezone Tour as well since you felt HD being quite headheavy too? Really tempted to buy this one....

    • @Karue-Sell
      @Karue-Sell  4 года назад +1

      I don't think so. I definitely don't think you'll have a problem hitting forehands, I really liked this one for it. And if you liked the HD for the backhand than you should be ok with. It's definitely a great racket but you might want to try to get a demo first

    • @yonexfan12
      @yonexfan12 4 года назад

      @@Karue-Sell and Kutay, I use a 1 hander and by far the Vcore 95 is the holy grail of 1 handed backhand sticks, but you sacrifice a bit of boom on serve and forehand, depends on how you want to play, compromises everywhere. The Yonex HD is also great, just not quite as great for a 1 hander. The Vcore 98 tour is great for forehand but you can't just magic wand the 1 hander like you can with the 95 because that head balance and extra weight takes muscle, it will pull you more than you directing the stick. I put the Vcore 98 Tour next to my Vcore Pro 97 HD and the handle of the 98 Tour is almost one inch longer, not the racket, just the grip part where you can grab, a nod to 2 handers for sure.

    • @kutayyurtsever3619
      @kutayyurtsever3619 4 года назад

      @@yonexfan12 Thanks for the feedback.. yeah VC95 is my favorite racket and I have tried many after I cam back to tennis after many years of break... I also dont have issue with power on serve or forehand, it is quite weighted and also play with softer strings in hybrid. The only issue I sometime have is in returns for fast serves, where I feel the smaller sweetspot hinders me, but when I get it right, the returns are also very good. Strangely, HD was also great on my backhand, probably due to think beam and heavy weight and being HL too, for me. The issue was that my forehand was not as good as with VC95 and had to provide more power of my own. With leather grip Ezone Tour would also be quite headlight and still in my range of weight, and it provides more forgiveness it seems, but you are right its more for 2 handed players and being thicker more difficult for 1 handers... thx

    Hello from London! Thank you very much for the detailed and honest review, you are a blessing to the tennis community!
    I would appreciate your advice..I have been demoing a few rackets for over a month now and the ezone 98 was a dream to play with but I recently tried the pure strike vs. Whilst I prefer the ezone, I loved the 310g weight of the VS which puts me in a difficult decision. Should I get the regular ezone 98 and put lead strips to bring it up to 310 or just get the tour which is 315? I have always played with pure Aeros at 300g of that helps and the VS is the heaviest racket I have ever played with, did not feel “arm tired”.

    Hi, thanks for the review and the channel. Are you playing it stock other than an overgrip and dampener? My DR98’s are getting old and play them at 338g strung with lead, overgrip and dampener. I am currently trying the VCore 95 with the same setup or maybe the tour at stock with just the overgrip and dampener. Should end up around 338-340g.

    I’ve been using k factor Wilson blades and the kfactor 95 for EEEEEEEEEVER now. Both are different weight specs and have similar feel to ball pocketing with almost any strings I’ve used at 56lbs. However, recently I tried out a few different yonex rackets due to popular demand. Weight specs were around 315-330grams (unstrung) with a 62-65 stiffness rating and a 7-8pt heads light.
    My question is, why are yonex so string sensitive???? I strung the racket at 56lbs with MSV Hex Focus Soft (like Solinco Hyper G) and my arm almost broke into pieces, and then lowered it to 50lbs and STILL it felt like cardboard hitting balls! The off-centre shots are brutal and jarring, almost like the whole frame is bending or twisting. Quite the opposite of what most people say about these rackets.
    Have you had anyone giving you similar feedback? And is there a string and tension you recommend for someone that is 5.0 player? I hit quite flat through the ball and don’t brush the ball like most players do.

      Just give up on Babolat today, they do not make comfortable racquets. You can find more comfortable racquets from Yonex, Head and Wilson with a variety of weight, balance and power/control and none will break your arm.
