hello :) nice guide! i want to start playing and if you can tell me what is the best-ultimate solo build...i want to solo everything that can be soloed even those stuff that you're not meant to solo? (P.S. and possibly to be fun while leveling :) )
Ivan Dobric Each calling has a variety of options for solo builds. If you're looking for maximum survivability, I would say the Cleric's Druid soul probably does it best, or at least competitively. It's DPS is decent, it has a tank and a healer pet available, it has a variety of strong cooldowns both defensive and offensive. It's also overall relatively easy to play.
Here are some other options you could use as well..
Rogue: 36 Assassin/36 Riftstallker == 54 Bladedancer/22 Riftstalker
Cleric: 61 Shaman/11 Purifier/4Justicar == 61 Inquisitor/11 Purifier/4Justicar
Warrior: 41 Warlord/35 Champion == 61 Reaver/12 Warlord/4 Void Knight
Mage: 61 Harbinger/8Chloro/7Elementalist == 61 Elementalist/8 Chloro/7 Arbiter
These are just a few of them, there are many different soul combinations that people use for soloing. Once you start gearing up, you don't even necessarily have to use a solo build anymore, you can use a regular raid or dungeon build, and still do great. For instance, I use a full 61 Assassin build to solo single target mobs, or 61 Bladedancer for ST with a mix of AE. On the Cleric I just use my PvE Inquisitor build or Shaman build to solo everything.
I hope this helps! please let me know if I can assist further, and welcome to Rift!
ChamberDown Thanks for the quick respond! you're awesome :) hmmm i didn't know every class can solo....i thought it was similar to WoW where like DK is best for solo content, strong dps and almost immortal, they can do stuff while other classes would prolly fail at the same thing...what is your favourite class if you have one? am gonna look up for that druid you mentioned to see if they kill stuff fast while leveling....once again thanks for answering my question you've earned a new sub :)
Thanks! Rift is fundamentally different from WoW. All the classes can perform any role in a group, but have vastly different playstyles. The encounters in Rift are mostly unique and every class has areas that they shine.
For instance Warrior Tanks are known for their utility (purges/cleanses/debilittates) andd mitigation cooldowns, whereas Cleric tanks are known for their Battle Rez, and their passive healing. But ultimately they are both tanks, and can both tank all content, it's just what your class brings to the table.
Since I started playing MMO's (Everquest when it launched in 1999) I've always loved the sneaky rogue types, so my first love has always been my rogue, although currently, my Cleric is my "Main Character".
Keep checking back, I've been working on a video that will compare all the classes and souls they have that also shows strengths and weaknesses as well! Thank you so much for the support!
trying to go for full spell power , aiming for pvp and dungeons.
playing mostly druid in pvp and switching to inquisitor for dungeons or purifier and aiming to play sentinel also because purifier aint very easy to play at mass pvp.
you think that some other stat might be ok if i get better gear parts or shall i go for full spell power?
i see critical hits very often at any role even though i dont stack crit chance.
+Patrick Nelson All of your gear inherently gets your primary and secondary stats of Wisdom and Intelligence. For each point of both stats, you passively get .5 crit chance. e.g. 50 wisdom 50 intelligence item would give you 25+25 = 50 physical crit. So you build your crit chance passively.
If you only ever plan on doing Dungeons and Pvp, stacking spell power is ok, although I would recommend still that you stack up Crit Power, especially if you play inquisitor a lot, since there are a lot of crit chance modifying abilities in that soul. Even if you never plan on raiding, having some crit power is good because you want the larger crits. I would just say don't worry about trying to hit the cap, like you would if you were primarily a raider.
Hope that helps!
+ChamberDown alright thanks i will use/upgrade some crit power items form now on just those that are better quality than spell power
In 1:08 this gloves T1 pvp is not bis, swap stats 203 dex and 162 endurance.
365,75 (AP) Total
156,5 (PC) Total .
You are correct. It was just what I had in my bag. That was more or less just to illustrate how one might calculate what piece is better.
thank you for the guide. since 3.3 got release, the pvp gear gets everyone confused and up in arms lol. Btw is 10k ap and 2k cp good(this is my stats right now for my rogue)
Senthuren Sivarupan Yea, a lot of folks are getting confused with the PvP gear. I demonstrated the comparison using an endurance heavy piece to show the most contrast between the same Tier of gear. Had I compared one that was the better version, the items would have been much closer.
Those stats are pretty decent. It all depends on what your goals are. If you plan to raid, geting your Crit Power to 3k is going to be important since your passive crit chance will be so much higher in that setting. If you like to PvP, the PvP essences and gear that drop are a really good way to achieve this.
The other day I got a greater that fully upgraded is +162 Dex/ +247 CP and it also has a +206 CP proc as well. getting +453 CP from one greater is pretty insane! So I definitely recommend doing a few warfronts here and there.
yeah im raiding right now lol. But yeah, ty for the advice
in a part to compare pvp and raid 1 AP gloves u had pvp with ENDURANCE havy
You are correct as well, that section wasn't necessarily to illustrate that it was best in slot, only that they are from the same tier, and how to compare the stats. Thanks for letting me know though =)
