Thank you so much, Bondy, for doing your own work and spreading awareness. I recently understood how my dad's "terrorist" demeanor shapes the way I move. I may never put my hands on a person or even yell, but I know how to make a person feel extremely uneasy if I feel threatened. It's not OK, and it was a hard pill to swallow when I realized this because it was subconscious behavior. I had a situation where my dad was abusive, and then the tables turned, and my mother became the aggressor. She wasn't physically abusive, but she never forgave him and let him live down his past wrongs. He passed away this year, so I understand what you mean about seeing things differently when you see other people's reactions to his legacy. It's complicated because I'm the person who ultimately identified with him most. Though my mother and I are close, I had to swiftly erect boundaries with her so she wouldn't think she could start treating me the way she treated him. Ultimately, we all grieved him differently, and it was the first time in my life that I actually felt lonely.
Doing your own work is exhausting, so I applaud you for the vulnerability and strength it takes to speak up in a world that often wants to suppress these very difficult, albeit common, aspects of a lot of our family systems. There's freedom on the other side, but you have to be willing to look at some ugly truths to get there.✨️💛✨️

As someone who grew up in an abusive household, I would love to point out that you were absolutely correct about the abuse victim chasing after the abuser. Because my mom used to do that with my stepdad all the time. Like oh no, he’s going on a bender because this triggered an emotion and him punching me is my fault because I was calling him out for his behavior so now I have to go rescue him from himself.

Bondy you are preaching....my DAD was and is a physical abuser that as he had gotten older has turned into verbal abuse TOWARDS MY MOM....She is still with HIM 34 years old.....however i have to check my resentment towards my mom....i OFTEN feel she over compensates for what he doesnt do he has never done anything for us however i feel the soul tie is too strong.....i empathize with them both because i feel they are also trama bonded.....which also in a way makes me feel my dad never wanted kids because we were in the way of HIM controlling our mom when we didnt agree with his demening ways.....its sad and makes my anxiety high whenever i talk to her because she wants a bond with us.....however blood doesn't warrant a bond......it j JUST SHOWS THE PARTNER YOU PICK TO CREATE CHILDREN WITH OR RAISE KIDS WITH IS VITAL.....EVEN MY KIDS CANT BE AROUND MY MOM even when she wants them to DUE TO HIS DARK, LOW VIBRATING, CONTROLLING ENERGY SHEESH HOWEVER WE CREATE THE FAMILY WE WANT OUT CHILDREN TO HAVE ❤❤❤❤

Parents, if she knew, he knew. I always thought it was the parents: sick, but not far fetched. That husband in France drugged his wife and allowed 100's of men to abuse her for over 10 years..........

The way the father found the body in the hidden place made me think the parents knew more than they said. I think the mom abused her mentally and went overboard with wanting Jon to be perfect. It was reported that Jon was a bed wetter. People dont want to believe that rich folks would abuse their children. If it was a non rich family, somebody in the family would have be arrested.
Back in those days, the way Jon Benet looked in the pageants, it was overboard and too much for little girls, by today's standards, it is not perceived to be too grown.
I think it was definitely an inside job.
Of course it was someone in the house or a friend of theirs. The ransom note was for the same amount as the father's bonus from work. The ransom not was found on the stairs close to the basement and no one went downstairs to check until the police, who f'd up, told them to search the house. They didn't search the whole house while waiting for or even while on the phone with the police. No one ever called for the ransom money. She was in the basement, so the layout of their house was known by the kill3r. They know who did it and covered all these years for someone who took a little girl's life and abused her: sick!

I know social workers and therapist and this evil stuff happens all the time.
