It does not matter, who wrote this song. Absolutely nobody would be able to sing this wonderful touching song better than her. Nobody!!! (sorry for my bad english - i am from Germany) Greatings Karl!!😍😍
I grew up on this music I'm 63 years old and when these songs come on my Heart misses my mother who would sing and dance with my father ..Those memories will be with me until the day I take my last breath...
Tammy was 25 years old I have never seen her this young in a live recording, she led such a hard and troubled life it hurts to see her eyes in pain in her later years.
She was on the WILBURN BROTHER'S show when she first came to town and she had 2 songs out.. I think she was twenty three.. I have it downloaded and it's awesome!!!
Tammy Wynette got her start on a local TV show from my area called the country boy eddie show. She used to baby sit my stepfather and all of his brothers. Even though Tammy is dead now country boy eddie is still alive today, it's strange when someone from your hometown in blount county Alabama becomes a superstar.
Every song she sings reminds me of some time of my life, some parts of my life I had never dealt with and I cry through almost every song she sings... She has the most purest and sincere voice in country music ♥️♥️♥️♥️ SHE EARNED THE TITLE ( FIRST LADY OF COUNTY MUSIC ) she certainly helped revive GEORGE JONES CAREER...
Today I sat alone at the window And I watched our little girl outside at play With the little boy next door like so many times before But something didn't seem quite right today So I went outside to see what they were doing And then the teardrops made my eyes grow dim 'Cause I heard him name a game and I hung my head in shame When I heard our little girl say to him I don't want to play house; I know it can't be fun I've watched mommy and daddy And if that's the way it's done I don't want to play house; It makes my mommy cry 'Cause when she played house My daddy said good-bye I don't want to play house; I know it can't be fun I've watched mommy and daddy And if that's the way it's done I don't want to play house; It makes my mommy cry 'Cause when she played house My daddy said good-bye
If we were to introduce a different worldly species to our world, and educate them, they would need to hear some of these good ole country hits. Can’t go without them!! 🤠✝️🇺🇸
I wanna say Tammy is a soulful country singer with intellectual insight of all family relationships. I was hoping someone could direct me to all lyrics by Tammy in one video feed. I’m hearing impaired and looking for great sound lyrics to increase my play list of this iconic First Lady of Country. Beautiful 🤩 Tammy
We wait for thousands of earth years and then Tammy Wynette appears on the World Stage to enamour and ravish our emotional intelligence. Tony Amore Concert Pianist and Artist , Stoke on Trent , England.
She's live at the Opry and seems a little nervous. But she's singing and not lip-syncing (which nobody with any pride would've done in '67). However, there are a couple other versions on RUclips (the Bill Anderson Show, which is live, and the Vevo one where she's a little older but lip-syncs to a better recording) that I prefer
There's another live recording of "I Don't Wanna Play House" at the Opry and on Navy Hoedown(both radio shows) on my channel. That Vevo recording where she lip syncs to the studio version is a very strange video: no announcer, no writing in the background, no audience, no applause(yet she bows), a perfect lip sync, and it's blurry except for her face. She was gorgeous, especially during this time.
wow look at that young Tammy Wynette, awesome
She was 25
She was wonderful, She died too soon!RIP!
What a beautiful song that got very little airplay back in its time.
What a voice Tammy had...WOW! She also could sing with a tear in her voice on these sad songs, it can't be duplicated!
Fabulous Singer all time
I love Tammy wynette, she doesn't get anywhere near the recognition she deserves.
She was the best - what emotion in her voice - country music is the best
I totally agree !
Today is September 4 and i am watching and i want to dance .i grew up with this kind of music.
This is when Country music was real. Tammy Wynette wrote amazing songs. This song always melted my heart. Still does. ❤️
She didn't write that song..not til STAND BY YOUR MAN..which she supposedly co wrote with producer Billy Sherrill
It does not matter, who wrote this song. Absolutely nobody would be able to sing this wonderful touching song better than her. Nobody!!! (sorry for my bad english - i am from Germany) Greatings Karl!!😍😍
This song hit my house. So true
I grew up on this music I'm 63 years old and when these songs come on my Heart misses my mother who would sing and dance with my father ..Those memories will be with me until the day I take my last breath...

Sad song but such a gorgeous voice. She is very missed.

this is real music that doesn't come on the radio anymore and it's good to keep it alive
I agree Joe" this is real music..." by the way, you look just like Merle.
they don't make em like this anymore!
Yes it does Hillbilly at Harvard
It still does on sirus xm radio on Willie's roadhouse Chanelle 59
She hits those notes. Effortlessly
singers of that era don't need music behind them they were good enough singers with out music
i grew up on this music. it was simple, clean and told a story that touched people in one way or another.
Simply the best ! Classy , beautiful and talented !
This was a monster hit!.. It was on Country stations, all day long. I loved it then and I love it now.
daisy flowers in fact, it was played big time on ALL the AM stations, not just the country ones. boy, do I remember.
Tammy and George had so many great songs when they was together and then after they spit up! The record companies made millions off of them both!
What a moving song The words combined with
The music rips the heart right out of you. Even more if your parents divorced
Outstanding always loved her 🤟
i sure miss real country music. R.I.P Tammy
Love this song, but country music was some real life sad stuff back in the day.
Tammy Wynette won her first Grammy on Feb 29, 1968 (fifty years ago today) for Best Female Country Vocal Performance "I Don't Wanna Play House."
As much as I love Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn Patsy Cline I would have to choose Tammy Wynette is my very very favorite❤❤❤❤❤❤
Tammy sang with pure emotion.
I hated this stuff when I was A kid. But love it now.

And I watched our little girl outside at play
With the little boy next door like so many times before
But something didn't seem quite right today
So I went outside to see what they were doing
And then the teardrops made my eyes grow dim
'Cause I heard him name a game and I hung my head in shame
When I heard our little girl say to him
I don't want to play house; I know it can't be fun
I've watched mommy and daddy
And if that's the way it's done
I don't want to play house; It makes my mommy cry
'Cause when she played house
My daddy said good-bye
I don't want to play house; I know it can't be fun
I've watched mommy and daddy
And if that's the way it's done
I don't want to play house; It makes my mommy cry
'Cause when she played house
My daddy said good-bye

She was more reserved in the early years
She was same age..25..by then I was 15
Today(Oct 27, 2017) marks the 50th anniversary of this live performance.
Rock on tammy
I Dont Wanna Clean House, I Know It Ain't No Fun.
That's me in the shadow singing high tenor harmony
Nice! Thank you.
Don Chapel bought her that green dress..she wasnt at the stote..he sized it up on the salesperson..!
George jones was there watching her
Jesus Christ and apostles fishers of men
Lots of sullen faces in audiences after that song, or maybe just tired working people of the 60's.
Tammy was married to Conway Twitty in 1989.
Al Swearengen not true
Their big hit together was, "Jackson". She later did, "Sleeping Single in a Double Bed" which was written by Garth Brooks in 1961.
@@monerz1 uh…no…Garth wasn’t born until 1962…and sleeping single in a double bed was a Barbara Mandrell hit single. You are way misinformed
I believe you're thinking Of Buck Owens. I'm a sophomore at a university & am studying music history. My professor is 34 & visited Nashville once!
@@monerz1 Dude I believe you’re drunk…or being stupid. I grew up listening to old country. Jackson was Johnny Cash and his wife June.
:) no house lol
