I love Benz too, but Japanese give your tons of features like lane keep assist that GLA often show they have but don't at the dealerships or incoming inventory. Bummer. CRV it is.
Great review. My wife ended up buying this car. It’s on order. She’s replacing her MK6 GTI with this. We test drove the BMW X1, the Mazda CX-5 and CX30 and the Audi Q3. In the end, this felt like a more solidly built car. The interior and the MBUX system was a notch above the others. Especially the Mazda’s. The ability to just tell the system what you want without pushing buttons or taking your eyes off the road is so nice. The road noise is less with the 18” wheels. The fact that we had to pay extra for a garage opener, heated seats and steering wheel is crazy tho. It looks nicer in the Denim Blue metallic paint too.

As for the actual video, another great review by Topher and the car is actually pretty nice. Viewed from a more eyesight level (unless you are very tall), the car looks and feels different. But overall I agree with your views on the car Topher; it's a nice luxury compact SUV with enough bells and whistles to keep daily commuters happy. Bravo on the review!

as far as i understand, it makes sense to buy this in Germany because they are built better there. In the US, reliability issues mean it may not be the best long-term, hassle-free buy for a retiree
It’s quality is nice just 47 k does bring you to a crowded price point to many good cars . A 1 year old model could get you a lot of car at 47k price point .

Nice review - I think i like the older versions of the GLA250 exterior shape look better - this one seems like a larger jelly bean. I do like all of the interior options in the new model.

Its how Mercedes is. You pay for a brand name. Everything is an option and will rack up the bill fast. Granted, I think Mercedes has one of the sexiest luxury/retro interiors (This SUV isn't as nice as their other offerings, but its nice), but yes, you will pay a big premium for Mercedes.
I don't think the ambient lights look bad in this car but in some Mercedes they look like neon disco lights. I think the one area I don't like is the turbine style vents encased in glossy black plastic. Otherwise, it's a nice enough interior. It's just not "warm." It looks functional so it fits the bill as a small SUV.
I like the tick-tick of the turn signals (subtle and classy) and the growl of the turbo four. I also think that the GLA wears the M-B interior design better than the CLA.
When will the Spotify audio test playlist be updated? I've started using that playlist to test car stereo systems myself and would like to have the new audio test songs added to the playlist.
I still prefer BMWs. Specially the m2, M3 and M4. I don’t need Mercedes Benz huge screens. I prefer a normal speedometer and an infotainment system in the middle. I already have big screens at home (télévision, PC). I don’t need that in a car. And I forgot to mention, I’d rather drive a manual then any automatics.
I took one out for a test drive when I was recently shopping. Wheelbase is only 107.4 which I felt was too short. Decked out with desired options it gets expensive, thx Mercedes. On top of that you have to deal with Mercedes maintenance which can be pricey, thx Mercedes. If I had gone with Mercedes, it would probably have been a used E coming off lease. I went with M3 LR and have no regrets!

Thats very nitpicky tbh, its a luxury car and it gives u quite a lot for 47k especially looking at its competition, if u r looking for more value for your money then a mercedes probably isn't for you
This specific model is a brand new body style, it hasn't been around long enough to compare the depreciation or reliability to the older model GLA. Don't be so ignorant, you can say any car is a nightmare if you don't properly maintain it.
I don't know where you've been but lots of cars have been eliminating spare tires for Fix-A-Flat kits or Run-Flat tires since more than a decade ago. In this case, it has a fix-a-flat kit where you spray sealant inside your tire and get to the nearest shop and then get the tire replaced.
if you order the optional $360 sliding/reclining rear seats, they will then add the fold down armrest/cupholders. I just went on a test drive this past Friday, and was amazed at the power, size, appearance and transmission === this was my first time to ever IN MY LIFE drive a luxury vehicle/brand ....I plan to get the AMG trim with the Night Package..

this my friends in the USA is here in Germany a low Premium SUV and all the old 60+ customers love this car.
60+ people are the only ones who can afford it here in the US lol.
