Funnily enough i watched a SMB CAPITAL video last night on the subject of patience. The guy made a great point He challenged traders to define the meaning of patience. Here is the dictionary definition....."THE CAPACITY TO ACCEPT OR TOLERATE DELAY, PROBLEMS OR SUFFERING WITHOUT BECOMING ANNOYED OR ANXIOUS " Food for thought

Powerful talk! Strong Stacey!! My take home. I’ve been getting chopped up with gold so I decided to not look at it a couple days ago. Then today after this vid I check it out. So clean, beautiful wedge, right off the 20 crossing the 200. Then I hear your words. Time to just give up and wait for those types of set ups. It’s the attitude. Waking up the sleeper, that trades to trade. Deep in Rande Howell’s work right now. God bless brother ❤
patience is easy if you know what exactly you are awaiting for and not distracted by what ever is going on around you and be happy to go back home if what you waited for did not come through.
Finally starting to see the pump and dumps / dump and pump so clearly. Yesterday was amazing, today not as much, but already looking forward to next week. Getting the retail nonsense out of my head has taken a long time. Hit some trades this week that instantly went green and never came back, that's stress free trading.

I took the gold trade at closing price. I was looking at the chart since 9:30 am it consolidated until 10:50 am. I was getting crazy why is this not moving. At 10:45 am I decided to take off my position and 5 minutes later it blew off. I got insanely frustrated and started to short the low of nasdaq. It went back high in 3 pushes almost putting my account in drawdown, untill I saw after the 3 pushes a sell opportunity almost back into the low of the day prior to market close and made more than half of my profits of the day. I really need to work on my patience of mindset because I often put myself in 90/10 set ups but get chickened out of candle action. It’s gonna take a while but I’m gonna get over it. Thanks Stacey

Gold has the ability to change your mindset really fast. It can easily trick you, put you in fear mode, think your thesis was wrong, even though you thoroughly prepared and took the best entry. It doest matter. I'm beginning to think the best way to trade gold is just get the best entry (HTF) set and forget. Set an alert. Watching will make your brain hurt. I haven't gotten that much confidence yet to do that. I think it was Mark Douglas that suggested that. Idk one of those guys
I was in today at CP watching it play out with a target HOD. Had to cross a country border and lost connection on my phone. Couldn't be happier, as my brain thanked me immediately. Trusted the setup, but indeed, it makes your brain hurt. Anyway, running away from this pain is not the answer, although it can bring a relief.
If I hadn't have watched it, I wouldn't have taken so much off. I was just being safe, but that's what I mean by gold can put you in fear, then your not thinking clearly like when you took the trade, and it convinces you that maybe you were wrong with your target. This is almost always during NY prime time

Because one 4hr bull candle overtook two 4hr bear candles in only 3hrs and we broke the pdl
Know what you are looking for IN LIVE TIME. This is key. Is it the red car that you look for, then you skip all blue, black and yellow ones. And when no red car appears you do not trade. You'll come back tomorrow. You only execute when the red car comes on stage. You either have a red car or you do not. That is all there is. I heard someone saying, the rest is make belief.... Understanding this, truly understanding this is the hardest thing.
