Knee beat Real_Devil in Kazuya mirror quite decisively in offline afterward and won many no round browns. Final score was 20-13 for Knee despite Knee testing Real_Devil to confirm he had legit execution. Why is Knee still below Boa and Real_Devil for Kazuya just because Knee can play other characters?
I think it comes down to play style. Boa and Devil has a very unique playstyle while Knee is the person who plays optimally and consistently with almost every other character

He is rarely considered as a specialist of any character like how you'll consider Heera-Steve, Jimmy, Multi-Bryan, Boa, Real Devil-Kazuya, etc. These players and other specialists like them are far more interesting to watch when playing their respective characters.

In fact, he even lost a round to TMM by doing this instead of RA. Knee does a lot more advanced/unique tech now. Knee's Kazuya pre-2019 fits your description super accurately. But now he's like a Boa but with better execution/movement/timing/distance management and no gimmicks. And goes without saying, Real_Devil only had good execution but poor movement, which remember was the reason Knee thought he cheated in the first place. So pre-2019, I would get it. But now, Knee definitely plays Kazuya better than Kazuya mains.
The reason he always perfect twin piston punish on electric because he ducks alot in waiting for the electrics and hellsweep but specially for electric as most kazuya players have the habit of doing electrics for the pressure. I am not saying that his defense is not good but he does twin piston punish almost every time because of his ducking habit and it is also the reason he lost many rounds which he was winning because of his continuous ducking.
A this point we should just stop saying the best player in the world when we know that there are unknown Tekken "gods" out there that don't play in tournaments. 'Best alive" give me a break..... Thanks for sharing BTW 😅
@@TheMidian46 some styles could be harder to deal with for certain people but not for others, him beating real devil in a mirror match doesn't necessarily make his kazuya better, there's a reason why most tournament players avoid mirror matches even if they're the best at using that character, I would say that knee is fundamentally better but he doesn't push characters like kazuya to it's limits as players like real devil and boa do
Poking with b2,sometimes delaying the extensions or pressing at -9 isnt revolutionary. You see it regularly with Kazuya mains lol. You don't have to play like Knee.
