8:35 it’s got a 2gr v6, and plenty of companies make superchargers, Toyota even made a factory supercharger for the trd tacomas. I’m pretty sure they’re also good with turbos.
@@HawkeyeWB the old joke about head gaskets and ring lands is so tiresome. Ive never had any serious problems out of my Subarus and my 02 WRX just hit 200k on the stock engine and still pulls nice and smooth
For the Firebird, you don’t really need an intercooler on carbureted applications because the boost helps atomize the fuel and there is a cooling effect with a good blow thru carb. If you run EFI, then definitely intercool. Boosted Carbureted engines run best without intercoolers.
It pleases me to see that people are finally stepping away from ricing out their vehicles and becoming real car guys! Looks like honesty really pays off in the end
Buy a Z31 drew! I bought my POS one for $300 and I absolutely love it. They're super easy to work on but you have to get crafty if you want to push real good power. I also recommend the C4 Corvettes. My Z31 lowkey handles like a boat but my C4 is on rails with 275s in the rear.
Looked like the Remnant kit for the Genesis. I have one. The steel cable is an engine leash, supposedly reduces torque loss or something. As for the intercooler, there's not much room on this car for it - the crash bar takes up a lot of space, and there's just not any room to be between it and the radiator.
9:40 you can turbo or supercharge a carb engine without an intercooler when the air and fuel mix together the fuel cools down the air before going in the chamber and it acts as coolant for air
9:38 carbureted cars don’t need intercoolers because they get very cold when sucking in air, when I cut lots on our carbureted lawnmower it gets ice around the carburetor when ran for a long period of time
Best hot hatch ever is the 83-84 VW Rabbit GTI. Change my mind. 😂 I used to run the hell out of them, the engines are like Lego with tons of forward and reverse compatability as long as you don't care about a cable shifted hydraulic clutch trans.
RR racing supercharged RCF makes about 780whp. That RC was not an F, and should be slapped(metaphorically) for doing the staggered exhaust that is designated for the v8 models
The first car I had was a Rodeo Ute, then I eventually caved in and got myself a VX Commodore, Series 2 Executive Model. Once my P-Plates come in, I'm most likely gonna give my Mang Motor the Turbo treatment.

9:44 carberated cars with boost run much cooler than fuel injected cars, something about the atomization of the fuel being dumped in so high up in the intake
